Initial Prenatal Visit

The navigation tabs display based on which Obstetrics visit type. You can only change or select visit types from the Home or the Intake template. When you select the OB Prenatal – Initial or OB Prenatal visit type, the following navigation tabs display: Intake Gestational Age Histories Education Prenatal Detail SOAP Checkout Note: The above navigation tabs also display during nurse visits and subsequent prenatal visits. However, the Office Visit – OB, Virtual Visit Telephone, and Virtual Visit Video visit types display all the above navigation tabs except Gestational Age; the Chart Abstraction, Chart Update - OB, No-Show, and Consult visit types display all the above navigation tabs except Checkout. For the Patient Communication visit type the Telephone Call, Provider Test Action, Document Library, Order Management and Chart Abstraction displays. OB Provider Workflow

The provider workflow for an Initial Prenatal visit involves reviewing the information documented by the intake staff and proceeding with the patient encounter by documenting information on the Prenatal Detail and SOAP templates. On the first visit, open the Gestational Age template must be opened and verify the due date. Reviewing Obstetrics Details by Providers A provider can start the visit by reviewing the patient information documented during the previous patient encounters on the Home Page template for the Obstetrics specialty. Obstetrics Home Page Template You can review the historical information of the patient on the Home Page - Obstetrics template. Patient Tracking in the Provider Workflow You can update the patient tracking details using the Patient Tracking on the Patient Information Card (PIC). OB Intake Staff Workflow

The intake staff workflow for an Initial Prenatal visit involves documenting the patient encounter on the Intake, Gestational Age, Histories, and Education templates. The information documented by the intake staff is reviewed by the provider. When you access the Intake template, select Obstetrics and OB Prenatal Initial from the Specialty and Visit Type fields to display the Initial Prenatal template set. OB Intake tab The Intake template includes various links to add more information about the patient. Review of Obstetrics Details by Intake Staff The intake staff can review the patient's details documented during the previous encounters. Intake Template Zika Pregnancy Screening Template You can use the Zika Pregnancy Screening template to check the patient or patient's partner for possible exposure to Zika. Overview of the Checkout Staff Workflow

You can review and generate documents of a patient's checkout process. After completing the intake staff and provider workflow, the front office staff initiates and completes the patient checkout process on the Checkout template to do the following: Review and/or process all orders. Generate lab and/or radiology requisitions, if needed. Generate referral documents, if needed. Schedule future appointments as ordered. Generate the Patient Plan and Checkout documents, if needed. Viewing Template Links on the Checkout Template You can customize the links to meet your needs on the Checkout template. Open the Follow-up or Disposition Template You can document the follow-up details for a patient using the Follow-up/Disposition template. Document the OB Postpartum Visit Template

The OB Postpartum Visit template provides users with an easier way to document a routine OB postpartum visit. The template enables you to document the routine OB postpartum visit without opening other templates. If you need to access other templates an easy access to those additional templates is provided directly from the OB Postpartum Visit template. Wherever possible, the OB Postpartum Visit template fields maps to their corresponding fields in the other templates. The Postpartum template contains the following seven panels: General Reason for Visit Pregnancy Outcome Vital Signs Physical Exam Assessment/Plan Return Appointment Postpartum template Enter Information in the OB Postpartum Visit Template You can enter information in the OB Postpartum Visit template. Document Intake Workflow

The Intake staff enters information on the Intake template. The Pregnancy Outcome sub-navigation link displays on the Home Page, Intake, and Postpartum templates. Intake template Select the postpartum check as the reason for visit. Enter vital signs in the Vital Signs panel. Review medications in the Medications panel. Review allergies in the Allergies panel. Select General ROS - Female in the Review of Systems panel. Review of Systems The ROS - Female template opens. If the provider has saved a list of questions to ask, select L. If a provider’s pre-set list of questions is used, ask each question and change the answer from negative to positive as appropriate. If you select the Reproductive option, the postpartum depression details can only be recorded in the Postpartum Info template.
