My Plan Versus My Custom Plan to Create a Treatment Plan

You can document a treatment plan that is personalized to suit your practice's specific needs. The My Plan tab contains the My Custom Plan template that helps you configure as a grid for order sets, replacing the need to manually select a check box for each order to be placed. The individualized fields available on the original My Plan template require manual selection of every order needed for a particular diagnosis. The My Custom Plan template reduces the number of selects required for ordering while maintaining the process for managing order sets and provider plans. The My Custom Plan template uses a more streamlined user interface and takes a personalized approach to diagnosis-based order sets. In the customized template workflow, the individualized fields are uploaded to a grid in the Pending Orders section. The treatment plan for the patient can be documented on the My Plan or My Custom Plan template. The My Plan template appears within NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine by default and can be replaced with the My Custom Plan template based on the configuration in the Practice Configuration practice template. Document the Treatment Plan on My Plan

The treatment plan for the patient can be documented on the My Plan (PT) template that enables providers to place multiple orders from a single template. The My Plan (PT) template is based on order sets for diagnosis categories that can be modified and managed by clients using practice templates. The My Plan (PT) template appears within NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine by default and can be easily replaced with the My Custom Plan template after a simple configuration in the Practice Configuration practice template. The My Custom Plan template can be personalized to suit your practice's specific needs and is less click-intensive. Configuring Order Sets and Associated Picklists

You can configure the order sets and order set picklists using the Assessment Plan Customize practice template. The order sets shipped with NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine can be modified to meet the specific needs of a practice or provider. When you launch the My Plan or My Custom Plan template in runtime, a list of commonly ordered items for each type of order (such as labs, diagnostics, office procedures, and so on) displays on the template. Before an assessment or a diagnosis is selected, this list (order set) is loaded by default. Selecting a diagnosis in the grid holding today's assessments on the My Plan or My Custom Plan template, changes the order set based on your selection. My Plan Sub-Navigational Link

The My Plan sub-navigational link opens the My Plan or My Custom Plan template to select an assessment and place the applicable orders associated with the diagnosis categories for the selected assessment. The template that opens in the My Plan tab out-of-the-box is the original template. Note: The My Plan tab can hold one of two templates: My Plan or My Custom Plan. My Plan - is packaged as the default template; recommended for those clients who wish to continue using the current My Plan template. This template will eventually be retired (date to be determined) and no enhancements are being applied to it. My Custom Plan – created to improve usability by reducing the number of clicks required for ordering while maintaining the functionality for Order Sets; recommended for clients who wish to take advantage of the significant modifications in the areas of Orders and Referrals. Order Sets

On the Assessment/Plan – OPH template, the Order Sets link in the Plan section opens the My Plan tab of the My Plan/Orders tabbed template set. The My Plan template is a template where orders are placed based on client customizable order sets. Order sets are based on disease categories that correspond to the selected assessment. When you highlight an assessment in the upper left of the My Plan template, the template displays the orders for the disease category associated with the selected assessment. my plan template There are four order sets for Ophthalmology: diabetic retinopathy glaucoma cataracts macular degeneration Diagnostic tests can be set up by clients to be listed in either the Diagnostics or the Office Procedure sections of the My Plan template.
