Create Reference URLs for Patient Health Data Documents

You can create a URL for patient health data.

1. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR.
2. For a patient encounter, open a template.
   For example, Intake
3. To open the navigation bar, select Navigation.
4. In the navigation bar, select the Patient Health Data link.
   By default, the Open to Add/Update panel is collapsed. When expanded, the panel name changes to Close Add/Update.
   The Patient Generated Health Data template opens.
5. In the Type field of the Close Add/Update panel, select a value in the list.
   NextGen® Enterprise EHR automatically fills the Description and the Link fields.

   Note: The type of link is selected by default.
6. To add the URL for a patient, in the Link field, enter the URL.
7. In the Comments field, enter your comments.
8. Select Add.
   The added URL appears in the Select a Link grid.
9. Select the record.
10. Select Access Link.
    The page opens in a window.

    Note: The Add to Grid button becomes available only if the type of link is Physical file location. The Access Link button becomes available if the type of link is URL or Electronic File Location. The records added to Access History grid are audited and the records from the locked encounter cannot be updated in the new encounter.
