Edit Patient Education Documents
The Patient Education grid in the Today's Orders panel displays the patient education documents that are added to a patient encounter. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Checkout template. Expand the Today’s Orders panel. Select Patient Education To edit patient education documents, select Patient Education. The Patient Education Browser window opens. Note: You can use the browser to add or edit the list of patient education documents. Issuing Patient Education Documents
The Patient Education panel contains the education documents of a patient that are added to the patient's chart. You can print education documents for a patient by printing them or send the documents to the patient's NextGen® PxP Portal account. When you save a patient education document to an encounter, NextGen® Enterprise EHR moves the document to the Patient Education grid in the Today’s Order panel. Provide Patient Education Document
You can provide patient education documents in the Assessment / Plan panel. Note: The patient education details provided to a patient is encounter-specific. The details are not carried forward to subsequent encounters. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. On the SOAP template, expand the Assessment / Plan panel. Select My Plan in the navigation bar. The My Plan template opens. Select Patient Education and provide the necessary patient education documents. Generate Documents
You can generate and print various patient documents such as patient support cases, visit documents, referral thank-you letters, and provider communications on the Finalize - Cardiology template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Finalize - Cardiology template. Click the Evaluation and Management Coding panel. In the Documents section, do the following: To create a patient support case, click Patient Ticket. Using the Patient Ticket button, you can document if the patient accepted or refused the patient support case and add any comments. You can also send copies to another physician or to the NextGen® PxP Portal, if the patient is a participant. To generate a visit document, click Visit Document. To generate the referral thank you letter, click Referral Thank You. The corresponding document has been generated. Parent topic: Cardiology Provider Workflow on the Finalize Template
