Add Communication Modes for Management Plans

You can add modes of communication for the patient management plan in the Management Plan Communication template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. To open the Templates module on a patient encounter, do one of the following: On the Categories or Encounter History tab, select Open Template. On Top Toolbar, select Templates . On the main menu, select File > New > Template. The Select Template window opens. In the Show section, select All. Select Management Plans, and then select OK.The Management Plans template opens. Select the values for Specialty and Visit Type, and then select a management plan in the grid. Manage Actions The Manage Actions grid expands displaying the management plan. Manage Actions Select a management plan, and then select Communication. Note: A message appears, when you select a management plan that has the communication mode added. Configure Letters

The Letter Generator panel is designed to add details of different types of letters that are configured by practice administration. The plan letters are generated as documents and saved to patient charts. Letter Generator panel Open the Management Plan Setup template. In the Letter Generator panel, select Add. A new record template opens. New record template Enter a name in the Letter Name field. In the Linked category field, select a linked category from the picklist. In the Plan name field, select a plan name from the picklist to attach the letter to. Enter the salutation in the Salutation field. Enter the letter details in the Body field. Select a language in the Language field if a letter is in a language other than English. Select Save. The information appears in the grid. Open the Management Plan Setup Practice Template

The practice administration configures the detailed office follow-up plans using the Management Plan Setup practice template. The plans are then applied by providers to the individual patient charts on chart review or at the point of patient care. The configured plans also appear in the Create new management plan panel on the Management Plans template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. From the File menu, select System \ Practice Template. The Select Template window opens. In the Show section, click the All option. A list of system templates appears in the Practice tab. Double-click Management Plan Setup. The Management Plan Setup template opens. You can set up the categories in the Modify Management Plan Categories and Statuses panel. After adding the categories, you can configure a management plan in the Management Plan Configuration panel. The Management Plan Setup practice template is designed to add detailed office follow up plans configured by the practice administration. The plans are then applied by providers to the individual patient charts either on chart review, or at the point of patient care. These configured plans also display in the Create new management plan panel in the Management Plans template. Accessing and Setting up Templates from Navigation Bar

You can access and configure various templates in the Navigation bar. The navigation bar consists of links for quick navigation. You can generate notes, open templates, document a patient's education and health data, manage referral and orders, and so on. Based on the configuration done on the Custom Navigation template, the links appear on the navigation bar. Use the Letters master file to set up patient letter templates. You can use it to set up letters for budget plans, recall, and patient-specific or account-specific items. After the letters have been set up, they can be previewed, printed, and exported.
