Edit Staging Records

You can only edit records created during the current encounter. However, you can edit a record from a locked encounter and save it as a new record. Access the Onc Treatment Summary template and scroll to the Staging panel. Locate and select the record to be edited on any of the panel grids. Click Edit for the grid where you selected the record . The Cancer Details template appears populated with data from the selected record. Make the necessary changes to the editable data fields. Click Save & Close. Remove a Staging Record

Modify Templates

You can modify the data saved to a template if it is not attached to a locked encounter. If the encounter is locked, you can create a new custom encounter, and attach the same template to it to update the information. On the Encounter History tab, select the encounter that contains the template you want to update and select the button. Select the template to open it. Enter the required modifications. Note: If you are working with a Group Medical Records template, any modifications you enter and save are committed to all of the charts for patients who are members of the specific patient group. Generate the Cancer Registry File

When all required demographic and cancer staging data has been entered, scroll to the bottom of the Onc Treatment Summary template and click the Required Fields Check button. Diagnostic History The Missing Data template appears and displays a list of outstanding required fields that must be completed to generate a Cancer Registry report. Missing Data Record the list of missing data and then click Close. Enter any missing data. Close all open templates and modules. Right-click the encounter that contains the cancer diagnoses and select Lock Encounter. The NextGen EHR Security Lock Encounter window appears. Lock Encounter Enter your User Name and Password. Click Lock. The system generates the Cancer Registry Report and saves the file to the export folder designated in the Rosetta Cancer Registry File Export agent settings. Conditions for Changing Information in Locked Encounters

When an encounter is locked, you can change some information only under certain conditions: You can add or modify notes because they are linked to the device record instead of the encounter. You can modify the date device was placed. You can activate and deactivate devices. You cannot modify the date the device was removed. To change the date, you would have to first deactivate the device. You can link and unlink a procedure only when the original encounter was selected. If Enterprise Chart is turned on and you open a device record that originated in another practice: You can add or modify notes. You can modify the date device was placed. Stage from the Treatment Summary Template

Open a patient encounter and select a Specialty of Oncology and a Visit Type of Office visit. Select the Cancer Summary link. The Treatment Summary template appears. Without selecting a record on any grid, click Add/Update under the Staging Details grid. The Cancer Details template appears. In the Staging Detail panel, enter the details.
