Copy a Staging Record with or without Changes

You can make a copy of a record from the current encounter or from a previous encounter. If you open a record from a previous, locked encounter, the Save & Close button is disabled and a Locked Encounter notice appears. Locked Encounter Note: You cannot update or delete records that belong to a locked encounter. However, you can modify a record from a locked encounter and save it as a new record. Access the Onc Treatment Summary template and scroll to the Staging panel. Locate and select the record to be copied on any of the panel grids. Click Edit for the grid where you selected the record. The Cancer Details template appears. Optionally, make changes to any of the editable data fields. Click Save as New Record. You are returned to the Onc Treatment Summary template. Remove a Staging Record

You can only remove records created during the current encounter. Access the Onc Treatment Summary template and scroll to the Staging panel. Open a patient encounter and select a Specialty of Oncology and a Visit Type of Office visit. Select the Cancer Summary link. The Treatment Summary template appears. Without selecting a record on any grid, click Add/Update under the Staging Details grid. The Cancer Details template appears. In the Staging Detail panel, enter the details. Stage from the Urology Cancer Summary Template

Open a patient encounter and select a Specialty of Urology and a Visit Type of Office visit. Select Cancer Summary from the Navigation menu. The Urology Cancer Summary template appears. Click Add/Update under the Staging Details grid. The Cancer Details template appears. Note: You can add and update records for the current encounter from this Staging grid, but you cannot remove records. In the Staging Detail panel, enter the details. Add Staging Detail

You can add additional staging details for these cancer types: Breast Cancer Lymphoma Prostate Cancer Soft Tissue Sarcoma Testicular Cancer Small Cell Lung Cancer Chronic Myelogenous Leukemia Access the Onc Treatment Summary template and scroll to the Staging panel. Click Add under the Staging grid. The Cancer Details template appears. Note: All three Add buttons in the Staging panel open the Cancer Details template. Expand the Staging Detail panel. Staging Detail Go to the section on the panel for the specific cancer type and complete the fields for which you have data. Optionally, click the Comments field and enter additional notations regarding the patient or patient's condition. Click Save & Close. You are returned to the Onc Treatment Summary template. Stage Cancer from the Onc Treatment Summary Template

The Onc Treatment Summary template provides the most comprehensive method of entering cancer staging and related data, including cancer medications, treatment notes and other data. For Cancer Registry Report, you must provide data on the following: Dx Date (Diagnosis Date) Cancer Type/Site Histology Behavior Laterality Body Site Diagnostic Confirmation Stage a Cancer Prior to staging cancer, you should enter the cancer diagnosis for the patient. If you do not, you can select a diagnosis during the procedure.
