Conditions for Changing Information in Locked Encounters

When an encounter is locked, you can change some information only under certain conditions:
  • You can add or modify notes because they are linked to the device record instead of the encounter.
  • You can modify the date device was placed.
  • You can activate and deactivate devices.
  • You cannot modify the date the device was removed. To change the date, you would have to first deactivate the device.
  • You can link and unlink a procedure only when the original encounter was selected.
If Enterprise Chart is turned on and you open a device record that originated in another practice:
  • You can add or modify notes.
