Link Procedure and Dynamic HPI Content

In the Procedure HPIs panel, you can create a link between procedures created in the Procedure Setup panel and the dynamic HPI content configured in the Dynamic HPI Config practice template. If you select the Use configured HPI from manage custom links instead of DHPI check box in the Procedure HPIs panel, in run time, the dynamic HPI template does not open for the procedure that is linked to a static HPI template on the Manage Custom Link practice template. In run time, after you document procedure details in the Procedure panel in the framework templates, the documented procedure details linked to the dynamic HPI upload to the grid of the Reason for Visit panel. If you select the procedure details in the Reason for Visit panel, the dynamic HPI template opens. Configure Procedures

This document provides instructions to add new procedures, and create a link between a procedure and the dynamic HPI content. The Procedure Config practice template enables you to configure specialty-specific procedures and associate a procedure site to each procedure. Also, you can link a configured procedure and the associated site to the dynamic HPI content configured in the Dynamic HPI Config practice template. Ambulatory Surgery Dynamic Parameters

In the Ambulatory Surgery specialty, the dynamic HPI template includes Procedure and Indications parameters, each associated with the findings to document procedure details. The parameters and the associated findings are configured in the Dynamic HPI Config practice template. For more information, see the Dynamic HPI Config Practice Template section. The following table defines all of the parameters available for documenting an Ambulatory Surgery dynamic HPI. Parameter Description Procedure Includes a list of categories associated with the procedure site in the Reason field. The list also displays the selected procedure below the Procedure Types option. To change the procedure, you can click the Procedure Types option. The Procedure Types option in the list includes a picklist of procedures configured for the selected procedure site in the Reason field. Add Procedure Details in Ambulatory Surgery on the Dynamic HPI

Open the Home Page template and set the Specialty to Ambulatory Surgery and the Visit Type to Procedure. Click Intake to open the ASC - Intake template. Expand the Procedure panel and select the applicable procedures. Selecting procedure from the Procedure panel Click the Physician Proc tab. The ASC - Physician Procedure template opens. In the Reason for Visit panel, select the procedure that was documented in the Procedure panel. The dynamic HPI template opens. The Reason field displays the site associated with the procedure selected in the Reason for Visit panel. The procedure and the site of procedure are configured in the Procedure Config practice template. Link a Procedure to the Dynamic HPI Content

On the Procedure Config practice template, expand the Procedure HPIs panel. Click HPI Reason to select the reason associated with the HPI content on the Dynamic HPI Config practice template. Click Procedure Site to select a procedure site from the list. In Procedure HPIs, click the following four fields and select a value from the list. Procedure Category Section Procedure Type Section Procedure Pretext Section Procedure Indication Section The list includes section names, section types and group numbers to identify which content you want to display in the run-time templates after the procedure site and dynamic HPI are linked. For example, If you select Procedure | Base Section | Group1 in the list, the system refers the Dynamic HPI Config practice template for section name as Procedure, which forms the base section that does not include any sub-selection values, and displays all of the group 1 values in the run-time dynamic HPI template. You can manage History of Present Illness (HPI) sections and findings in the dynamic format on five practice templates and one system template.
