Configure Procedures

In the Procedure Setup panel, you can add a new procedure name and link a procedure site. The procedure configured in this practice template is available for selection in the Procedure panel in the run-time Ambulatory Surgery framework templates. After you create a new procedure name, you can link the new procedure to an existing dynamic HPI content. For information on how to link a new procedure to an existing dynamic HPI content, see Procedure HPIs Panel . If the applicable dynamic HPI content is not available, you need to add a new dynamic HPI content in the Dynamic Hpi Config practice template and then link it to the procedure in the Procedure HPIs panel. Link Procedure and Dynamic HPI Content

In the Procedure HPIs panel, you can create a link between procedures created in the Procedure Setup panel and the dynamic HPI content configured in the Dynamic HPI Config practice template. If you select the Use configured HPI from manage custom links instead of DHPI check box in the Procedure HPIs panel, in run time, the dynamic HPI template does not open for the procedure that is linked to a static HPI template on the Manage Custom Link practice template. In run time, after you document procedure details in the Procedure panel in the framework templates, the documented procedure details linked to the dynamic HPI upload to the grid of the Reason for Visit panel. If you select the procedure details in the Reason for Visit panel, the dynamic HPI template opens. Access Procedure Config Practice Template

From the File menu, select System \ Practice Template. In Select Template, click the Practice tab. In the Show section, click All. A list of practice templates appears. Select Procedure Config. Dynamic HPI Config Practice Template

The Dynamic HPI Config practice template enables you to configure elements for the dynamic History of Present Illness (HPI) templates. Each dynamic HPI template is linked to a specific reason for visit. The dynamic HPI templates that are packaged with NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine can be modified to meet the specific needs of a practice. If there is a need for a custom reason for visit, the practice can create a custom template. Data sets for labs, diagnostics, and procedures can be configured in the Section and Finding sections. New sections such as family history, lab data, and diagnostic data can be configured for a reason for visit. The new sections appear in the dynamic HPI template in the left pane under the Reason field in run time. The Contradiction setup link enables you to create guidelines that prevent users from selecting clinically contradictory findings. The Edit/Create new sentence link launches the Dynamic HPI Sentence Config template, which enables you to configure

Access the Procedure Documentation Config Practice Template

The Procedure Documentation Config practice template enables you to configure procedure documentation and findings. The configured content appears in the run-time Documentation panel and Findings panel on the ASC - Physician Procedure template. From the File menu, select System \ Practice Template. In Select Template, click the Practice tab. In the Show section, click All.A list of practice templates opens. Select Procedure Documentation Config. Click OK. The Procedure Documentation Config practice template opens. To configure specialty-specific procedure documentation and finding content, click Specialty and select a specialty from the list.The icon is available to view instructions on how to use the Procedure Documentation Config practice template.
