Parameter	Description
Procedure	Includes a list of categories associated with the procedure site in the Reason field. The list also displays the selected procedure below the Procedure Types option. To change the procedure, you can click the Procedure Types option. The Procedure Types option in the list includes a picklist of procedures configured for the selected procedure site in the Reason field. The newly selected procedure appears below the Procedure Types option.
Indications	Displays a list of pretexts to concatenate with the indications. After you select a pretext, a list of indications appears.

Dynamic HPI Config Practice Template

The Dynamic HPI Config practice template enables you to configure elements for the dynamic History of Present Illness (HPI) templates. Each dynamic HPI template is linked to a specific reason for visit. The dynamic HPI templates that are packaged with NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine can be modified to meet the specific needs of a practice. If there is a need for a custom reason for visit, the practice can create a custom template. Data sets for labs, diagnostics, and procedures can be configured in the Section and Finding sections. New sections such as family history, lab data, and diagnostic data can be configured for a reason for visit. The new sections appear in the dynamic HPI template in the left pane under the Reason field in run time. The Contradiction setup link enables you to create guidelines that prevent users from selecting clinically contradictory findings. The Edit/Create new sentence link launches the Dynamic HPI Sentence Config template, which enables you to configure

Add Procedure Details in Ambulatory Surgery on the Dynamic HPI

Open the Home Page template and set the Specialty to Ambulatory Surgery and the Visit Type to Procedure. Click Intake to open the ASC - Intake template. Expand the Procedure panel and select the applicable procedures. Selecting procedure from the Procedure panel Click the Physician Proc tab. The ASC - Physician Procedure template opens. In the Reason for Visit panel, select the procedure that was documented in the Procedure panel. The dynamic HPI template opens. The Reason field displays the site associated with the procedure selected in the Reason for Visit panel. The procedure and the site of procedure are configured in the Procedure Config practice template. Remove Procedure Findings from the Dynamic HPI

You can remove the documented procedure findings from the concatenation in the dynamic HPI template. On the ASC - Physician Procedure template, click the desired procedure details in the Reason for Visit panel. The dynamic HPI template opens. Click Remove to open the Remove HPI Findings template. Remove HPI Findings To delete an entire section from the concatenation, highlight the row from the Select the section to remove grid and click the Remove button at the bottom of that grid. To take out a single finding from a section, highlight the finding in the Select the finding to remove grid and click the Remove button. Click Close to return to the dynamic HPI template. The concatenated record updates in the field below the right grid. Click Close. The procedure details update in the Reason for Visit panel and the Procedure panel. Modify Existing Procedure Details in Dynamic HPI

The dynamic HPI template enables you to modify the existing procedure details available in the Reason for Visit panel. The existing procedures appears in the right pane in the Reason for Visit panel. On the ASC - Physician Procedure template, click the desired row of procedure details in the Reason for Visit panel. Reason for Visit panel on ASC-Physician Procedure template The dynamic HPI template launches. In the History of Present Illness panel, click the row of procedure details to be modified. Make the necessary changes by adding new findings or removing the existing findings. To remove a selected value, click the value again. Click Close. Ambulatory Surgery Reason for Visit

In Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC), the procedures to be performed on the patient form the reasons for visit. In the Ambulatory Surgery specialty, the procedures documented in the framework templates are used as the reasons for visit that are linked to the dynamic HPI template. The procedure details documented in the Procedure panel appear in the Reason for Visit panel on the ASC - Physician Procedure template. The procedure(s) in the Reason for Visit panel grid opens the dynamic HPI template to add or update additional details on the procedure. Configure Procedures

In the Procedure Setup panel, you can add a new procedure name and link a procedure site. The procedure configured in this practice template is available for selection in the Procedure panel in the run-time Ambulatory Surgery framework templates. After you create a new procedure name, you can link the new procedure to an existing dynamic HPI content. For information on how to link a new procedure to an existing dynamic HPI content, see Procedure HPIs Panel . If the applicable dynamic HPI content is not available, you need to add a new dynamic HPI content in the Dynamic Hpi Config practice template and then link it to the procedure in the Procedure HPIs panel.
