Update the Heart Rate Alert Preferences

You can update the heart rate alert preferences for pediatric vital signs in the Heart Rate section. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. From File, select System \ Practice Template. The Select Template window opens. On the Practice tab, select the All option. Select Vital Signs Configuration, and then select OK.The Vital Signs Configuration practice template opens. In the Heart Rate grid, double-click the row to modify.The Pediatric Heart Rate Alerts template opens. Pediatric heart rate alert window to update an alert depending on the age Select the age range and the lower and upper limits of the heart rate for the patient. In Alert, enter the updated message. Note: NextGen Healthcare recommends limiting the alert message to 35 characters. Optional: Select the icon to update other alert preferences. Select Save and then select Close. Access the Vital Signs Configuration Template

From the File menu, select System\Practice Templates.The Select Template window opens. In the Show section, select All. Click the Practice tab to display a list of practice templates. Update the Fever Alert Preferences

You can update the alert preferences for fever data in pediatric vital signs in the Fever section. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. From File, select System \ Practice Template. The Select Template window opens. On the Practice tab, select the All option. Select Vital Signs Configuration, and then select OK.The Vital Signs Configuration practice template opens. In the Fever grid, double-click the row to modify.The Pediatric Fever Alert template opens. Update the Length, Height, Weight, and Head Circumference Related Alert Preferences

You can update the alert preferences for Length/Height, Weight, Head Circumference vital signs by modifying the values of age and percentile. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. From File, select System \ Practice Template. The Select Template window opens. On the Practice tab, select the All option. Select Vital Signs Configuration, and then select OK.The Vital Signs Configuration practice template opens. In the Length/Height grid, select the record and modify the age and percentile ranges. Add the Length, Height, Weight, and Head Circumference Related Alert Preferences

You can add the alert preferences for Weight, Length/Height, and Head Circumference vital signs based on age and percentile values. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. From File, select System \ Practice Template. The Select Template window opens. On the Practice tab, select the All option. Select Vital Signs Configuration, and then select OK.The Vital Signs Configuration practice template opens. In the Length/Height section, select the age and percentile ranges. Update Blood Pressure Alert Preferences

Open the Vital Signs Configuration template. Expand the Adult/Pediatric Alerts panel. To filter the records in the Blood Pressure grid, enter the Age From and Age To fields and then click Search. In the Blood Pressure grid, double-click a row that holds the alert to be modified. The Blood Pressure Alerts template opens. Blood Pressure Alerts Select the patient's sex. To enable entering the height percentile, the BP percentile, and the diastolic alert, select the Add Ht. Percentile and BP Percentile check box. The BP Alert field changes to Systolic Alert alert. For pediatric patients, the system automatically fills Ht Percentile, BP Percentile, and Systolic Alert fields. For adult and pediatric patients, you can manually enter or edit the fields. To modify the age range of the patients you want to set the alert for, enter or update From and To fields.
