Update the Fever Alert Preferences

You can update the alert preferences for fever data in pediatric vital signs in the Fever section.

1. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR.
2. From File, select System \ Practice Template.
   The Select Template window opens.
3. On the Practice tab, select the All option.
4. Select Vital Signs Configuration, and then select OK.
   The Vital Signs Configuration practice template opens.
5. In the Fever grid, double-click the row to modify.
   The Pediatric Fever Alert template opens.

   

6. Select the age range and fever temperature for the patient.
   In runtime, if the temperature provided by a user is greater than the temperature entered in the Temperature field, an alert appears.
7. In the Alert , enter the updated message.
   Note: NextGen Healthcare recommends limiting the alert message to 35 characters.
8. Optional: Select the icon to update other alert preferences.
9. Select Save and then select Close.
