Signature Alert Configuration
Signatures indicating that the information on the encounter has been reviewed is an important component to the billing functionality and the documentation of team collaboration. The Behavioral Health signature functionality includes a setting to alert the user if at least one of the staff or provider has not documented their signature. If enabled, a practice-level setting will fire an alert if at least one of the staff or provider signatures is not recorded. The configured alert is prompted upon document generation. This alert does not apply to Patient, Individual, or Parent/Guardian signatures. The Behavioral Health template set also includes a Send Task button to notify the next person in line who is required to sign-off on the visit's documentation. Configuration Options in Behavioral Health Section
The configuration in the Behavioral Health section applies to the Behavioral Health specialty. Behavioral Health section The Behavioral Health section enables you to configure the following: DSM IV/DSM-5 Assessment/Diagnosis Template Display Options - On selecting the Show DSM IV link check box, the DSM IV link appears on the upper-right corner of the Assessment/Diagnosis panel. The link opens the BH- DSM IV template, based on the DSM IV version of the Assessment/Diagnosis panel. Authorization Alerts
Authorization Alerts can be enabled in Practice Preferences. If enabled, alerts will display to users when an authorization for a patient’s insurance has less than a specified number encounters or units remaining. The alerts display during appointment scheduling, encounter insurance selection and charge posting. For more information about authorization alerts, refer to the Alerts Practice Preferences section in the File Maintenance Preferences Guide for NextGen® Enterprise. Access the Vital Signs Configuration Template
From the File menu, select System\Practice Templates.The Select Template window opens. In the Show section, select All. Click the Practice tab to display a list of practice templates. Add an Alert
You can add alerts for preregistration templates based on the chief complaints and financial class of the encounter-level insurance. The alerts added on the Billing Configuration practice template appear on the following preregistration templates, based on the configuration. Enable Alert for a Height Value
If configured, and the current height entered is less than the previous visit height data, then an alert message appears at the top of the Pediatric [Age] Vital Signs template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Click the File menu, and select System \ Practice Template. On the Select Template window, click the Practice tab. In the Show section, click All to see a complete list of practice templates. Select Vital Signs Configuration, and click OK. The Vital Signs Configuration template opens. In the Patient Height Settings section, select Show current height less than previous height.
