Add Vaccination Details of Adult Patients

You can document the vaccination details of an adult patient. To add the details of medications and allergies, you can double-click the data grid in the Medication and Allergies panels to open Medication and Allergies modules, respectively. You can use the Reconcile button to reconcile the history of immunizations provided to the patient at various practices and enterprises. If the patient has any medication or allergy related alerts, you can enter the alert information in the Alert field. Document Medication Information

On the BH - Nursing Note template, navigate to the Medication Information panel and answer the following questions with No, Yes, or N/A (Not Applicable) and enter Comments as needed: Takes medications as prescribed Changes in medical status Reviewed medication name(s), dosage, purpose, and frequency Were medications delivered today - If yes, for what duration Allergic reactions Side effects reported Note: All allergic reactions must be entered in the Allergies module to ensure that they are apparent on future visits. Click the Side effects reported link to open a template on which medication side effects can be documented. Next to Other medications, select from the following options: None Herbal Over the counter Other - and type specifics in the associated field Click the Office Procedures link to launch the My Plan tabbed template set on the Office Procedures tab and document medications administered today. Prescribe/Manage Prescriptions

You can launch the Medication module from this template to prescribe and manage medication. Select the Medications button. The Medication module opens. Select Prescribe New. The Medication Search template opens. Type the medication name in the Find field. As you type more letters of the name, the search is refined to match what you have entered. When you find the medication, double-click on it to add it to the Selected Medications grid. If the drug has any counter indications or interactions with other medications, or specifics of how it can be purchased or prescribed, a window opens for you to acknowledge those. When you have added all of the medications you need to the Selected Medications grid, click Select. The medications display in the Medication module. If the selected medication does not have defaults for the required Sig, Quantity, Refills, and Start date, click those fields and enter the information. Add Orders on the Order Management Template

You can add orders from the Order Management template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. On the Home Page template, select the Order Management link. The Order Management template opens. Order Management If orders are not available in the grid, select Add. The My Plan template opens. Note: If you select the Launch My Custom Plan (ord_my_custom_plan) check box on the Practice Configuration practice template, the My Custom Plan template opens. Create Immunization Order from the Vaccine Category Favorites

You can use create an immunization record from the Vaccine Category favorites. For more information on setting up vaccine category favorites, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download the latest System Administrator Guide forNextGen®Enterprise. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Intake - Cardiology template. Click the Cardiac Orders panel. Click Immunizations. The Immunizations template opens. Click New. On Create New Immunization Order, click the Imm tab. Select the appropriate category from the Favorites. Vaccines grouped in the category appear within the selected pane. Create New Immunization Order - Category Select an immunization from the list. Selected vaccines appear in the lower pane of Create New Immunization Order template. Note: If the Review Allergies option is set to Yes, the Review Allergies window opens and allergies need to be reviewed before continuing. Select COUNSELED, if necessary, to document counseling for use of Pediatric administration codes.
