Configuring and Managing Common Assessments Sets

Access the Common Assessments Practice Template

From the File menu, select System \ Practice Template. On the Select Template window, click the Practice tab. In the Show section, select All to see a complete list of practice templates. A list of practice templates appears. To access the Common Assessments template, do one of the following: Double-click Common Assessments. Select Common Assessments, and then click OK. Common Assessment Configuration

You can use the Specialty Common Assess Config practice template to build assessment pages with diagnosis groups on the Assessment Configuration template. These pages are accessed throughout the NextGen® Orthopedic Suite templates to add diagnoses to the patient’s history grids. You can set default pages based on rendering provider or practice, and copy assessment pages to another practice or provider. The Common Assess Config template has two panels: Manage Common Assessment Pages and Links Manage Common Assessments . The Manage Common Assessment Pages and Links panel on the Common Assessments practice template enables you to create the common assessment groups. You can associate a group to a template link name for a specific specialty, age, and gender. Configuring Assessment Pages

You can create and maintain assessment pages for adding diagnoses to a patient’s history. You can use the Specialty Common Assessment Config practice template to build assessment pages using diagnosis groups configured on the Specialty Diagnosis Group Config practice template. The assessment pages are accessed throughout the medical record templates for adding diagnoses to the patient’s diagnosis history grids. Specialty Common Assessment Config The Specialty Common Assessment Config template has the following panels: Manage Common Assessment Pages and Links. You can create, update, or copy assessment pages and set default pages for rendering providers and practice. Manage Common Assessments. You can configure diagnosis codes and other items for the assessment pages available in the Manage Common Assessment Pages and Links panel.
