Coded Results Mapping Details

Fields	Description
Source Table	Table associated with a template that has the mapped field values. When you click Source Table, a list appears with templates that have a source field. If the source table is shared, it retrieves the name from the source template.
Source Field	Name of the source field for the data value being mapped. This field provides options that correspond to the source table you entered.
Field Value	One of the possible values that can be stored in Source Field.
Map any Value	Indicates that a value in Field Value maps to specific Code Value.
Min and Max	Maps a range of values with a specific code. You can only enter numbers or decimals for minimum and maximum values for the range.
Code System	The code system associated with the code value that the field value is mapped to. This field allows multiple code values and systems as some measures have overlapping template field content.
Code Value	The code value that is mapped to the field value.
Comments	You can enter additional information about the record.

Add Coded Results Mapping Records

You can add mapping records on the Coded Results Mapping template. On the Coded Results Mapping template, select the Source Table field. Note: Many templates contain data fields shared from an originating source template. The source table name and data field names must be specified to accurately map to code values. The Source Table Field pop-up window opens. Coded Result Mapping - Source Field pop up Select the source field, select OK.The Source Table field is populated with the selected table and a pop-up window appears with a list of source fields for the selected table. Select the source field and select OK. Do one of the following: To map a specific value with a specific code, type the value in the Field Value field. Access the Coded Results Mapping Template

You can access the Coded Results Mapping template by performing the following steps. From the File menu, select System\Practice Template. The Select Template window opens. Select the Practice tab.The list of practice-level templates appears. Note: If you do not see Coded Results Mapping in the list, then from the Show section, select All. Do one of the following: Double-click Coded Results Mapping. Select Coded Results Mapping, and select OK. The Coded Results Mapping template opens. Copy Coded Results Mapping Records

You can copy the coded results mapping records defined for a practice to the other practices in your enterprise. You need to create the mappings for one practice only; you do not need to recreate the mappings for all practices. On the Coded Results Mapping template, click the Copy records to practice field. The Practice window displays the practices in your enterprise. Coded Results Mapping - Practice Select a practice, and select OK.The selected practice is populated in the Copy records to practice field. Copy records to practice Select Copy.The Copy records window appears asking to confirm the action . Edit Coded Results Mapping Records

You can modify a coded results mapping record. On the Coded Results Mapping template, filter the grid records to view the record that you want to edit. Select the record.The data fields in the Add/Update Coded Results Mapping section show the data from the record. Add/Update Coded Results Mapping Make the desired changes. Coded Results Mapping

You can map specific template field values to specific coded values to ensure accurate quality measure reporting on the Coded Results Mapping template. However, many fields on the templates are shared from other templates. For the mapping to work properly, you must validate all fields to verify the source table and field names and must perform the mapping on the source template fields. The information icon in the upper-left corner of the Coded Results Mapping template provides instructions for using this template. Verify the Source Template and Field for Shared Fields

Many templates contain fields that are shared from a source template. For shared fields, you must specify the table and field names of the source template, not the table and field names on the target template. After you define a coded results mapping for a source field, all templates that have that source field as a shared field, use the same mapping. You must verify all fields to specify the correct table and field names. Access the template that has the field for which you are creating a coded results mapping. Right-click any blank space on the template. A resulting menu appears. Select Show Field Names. Hover over the field. A tooltip appears displaying the source table and field names separated by a dot. Tooltip Use the displayed table and field names while defining the coded results mapping for the field. Note: In the tooltip, there may be additional text after the field name, separated by a colon.
