Add Coded Results Mapping Records
You can add mapping records on the Coded Results Mapping template.
- On the Coded Results Mapping template, select the Source Table field.
Note: Many templates contain data fields shared from an originating source template. The source table name and data field names must be specified to accurately map to code values. The Source Table Field pop-up window opens.
- Select the source field, select OK.
The Source Table field is populated with the selected table and a pop-up window appears with a list of source fields for the selected table.
- Select the source field and select OK.
- Do one of the following:
- To map a specific value with a specific code, type the value in the Field Value field.
To map a value with a specific code, select the Map any Value check box.
- To map a range of values with a specific code, manually enter numbers or decimals to set the range.
Note: You can map only a specific value or a range of values. If you map two types of values, the application clears the value that you previously mapped.
- Select the Code System field.
The Code System pop-up window opens.
- Select the code system from the list.
- Type a code value corresponding to the selected code system.
The specified code is mapped to the Field Value.
- For additional identifying information, type in the Comments field.
- Select Add.
The grid displays the added coded results mapping record.
- Verify the Source Template and Field for Shared Fields
Many templates contain fields that are shared from a source template. For shared fields, you must specify the table and field names of the source template, not the table and field names on the target template. After you define a coded results mapping for a source field, all templates that have that source field as a shared field, use the same mapping.
