View Immunizations and Care Guidelines Protocols

You can view and discuss immunizations and care guidelines with patient through the Protocols panel on the Telephone Call template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Telephone Call template, and then expand the Protocols panel. Note: By default, the Guidelines option is selected. To view and discuss care guidelines that are due within a specific time frame, select the Show due within check box and select the time period. Note: The Show due within check box appears only for the Guidelines option. To view and discuss immunization details with the patient, select Immunizations. The panel name changes to Immunizations. Immunizations

You can view the a record of immunizations orders for a patient using the Immunizations panel. The Immunizations panel is where you can view a record of immunizations orders for a patient, including status, date ordered, sequence number, and date completed. The immunizations data grid is view-only. All Immunizations must be ordered and managed from the Immunizations module. Orders for Immunizations do not appear in the Recent Orders panel. Pediatric Patient's Immunizations

You can view the status and schedule of recommended immunizations for pediatric patient. The Peds Immunizations link on the Intake template opens the Immunization - Pediatric template and provides access to the Immunizations module, where you can order new, chart historical, or document excluded immunizations for the patient. Filter the Immunizations Recommendations List

You can use different filtering and sorting options for the IMMUNIZATIONS recommendations list. Open CPOE. Select Immunizations. Note: The notification indicates that the patient has due or past-due immunizations. The IMMUNIZATIONS recommendations list appears. To expand all the vaccine groups simultaneously, select the expand icon on the immunizations recommendations header. To expand a single vaccine group, you can select the vaccine group's row. The following information appears. Vaccine administration history for a vaccine group, which includes the Administered, Pending, Partially Administered, Not Administered, and Refused vaccines statuses and any system or user-recorded exceptions. Note: Computerized Physician Order Entry (CPOE) displays up to 6 past vaccine doses for a vaccine group. The corresponding vaccine names as per CVX code. Care Guidelines Introduction

You can control the functions for a paitient using the Care Guidelines template. In NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine, the Care Guidelines templates are used to handle health maintenance and disease management functions, including guideline testing and screening, and recommended care. The Care Guidelines templates are available from all the specialty template sets. CAUTION: The Care Guidelines templates are used in a clinical setting with patients. Individuals responsible for maintaining the system need to carefully review the content available on the templates. You can update the content as necessary to meet the needs of the practice. Open the Care Guidelines Template You can open the Care Guidelines template using the Care Guidelines link.
