Add Picklist Value for Other Procedure Orders

In the Data Sets Setup template, click Data Set and select CARD Procedure Orders Other. The existing data set items associated with the CARD Procedure Orders Other data set appear in the grid. CARD Procedure Orders Other data set Click Add. The Template Data Sets Setup - [New Record] template opens. Template Data Sets Setup template If applicable, click Diagnosis description to search and select a diagnosis. The associated diagnosis code automatically populates. If applicable, click Provider and select a provider from Dbp Rendering Provider. In CARD_IMProcedures Picklist, enter a CARD IMProcedures picklist value. In Picklist 1, enter the appropriate value to associate with the value entered in CARD_IMProcedures Picklist. Note: In the run-time Procedure Order template, when you select the CARD_IMProcedures picklist value, then the value entered in Picklist 1 appears. Configure Test Result Wizard

You can create new cardiac procedure test result wizards. You can use the Test Result Wizard template to configure a result template for procedures that are not packaged in NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine. You must configure the Test Result Wizard template on the Custom DB Picklist system template. For more information on customizing the DB picklist, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download the latest Custom DB Picklists System Template for NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine. After you configure a procedure, the procedure name appears under the assigned category on the Cardiology Procedures template. Note: You need to pay close attention when you type each value in the DB picklists as some fields appear in multiple DB picklists. For example, in Procedure Name and Category, you must enter the same value for these fields as you configure the procedure. Assign Cardiac Procedures

You can use the CARD Procedure Link DB picklist to assign a procedure to a cardiac procedure category and specify the template that opens when you select the procedure from the list. Note: You need to pay close attention when you type each value in the DB picklists as some fields appear in multiple DB picklists. For example, you must enter the same value in Procedure Name and Category fields when you configure the procedure. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Assign Vascular Procedures

You can configure vascular procedures to use the Test Result Wizard template by assigning them to a Vascular Category on the CARD Procedure Link Vasc DB picklist. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. On the Custom DB Picklist system template, select CARD Procedure Link Vasc and then click Configure. The Custom DBPicklist Setup template opens. CARD Procedure Link Vasc DBPicklist Enter Vascular in the Category field. Enter one of the following for the Vascular Category: ABI Angiogram CT Duplex MRA Stent / PTA Vein Values entered for Vascular Category, appear in the first picklist when you select Vascular on the Cardiology Procedures template. You can create additional vascular categories. Enter the Procedure Name. To use the configurable Test Result Wizard template, enter CARD_test_result_wizard for the Template Name. Click Add. Add Additional Results for Test Result Wizard

The CARD Procedure Results Misc DB picklist enables you to add additional results or statements for the designated procedure on the Test Result Wizard template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. On the Custom DB Picklist system template, select CARD Procedure Results Misc, and click Configure. The Custom DBPicklist Setup window opens. Configuring Order Sets and Associated Picklists

You can configure the order sets and order set picklists using the Assessment Plan Customize practice template. The order sets shipped with NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine can be modified to meet the specific needs of a practice or provider. When you launch the My Plan or My Custom Plan template in runtime, a list of commonly ordered items for each type of order (such as labs, diagnostics, office procedures, and so on) displays on the template. Before an assessment or a diagnosis is selected, this list (order set) is loaded by default. Selecting a diagnosis in the grid holding today's assessments on the My Plan or My Custom Plan template, changes the order set based on your selection.
