Add Test Result Values to Result Selection Grids

Using the Custom DB Picklist system template, you can configure the values that appear in the result grids on the Test Result Wizard template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. On the Custom DB Picklist system template, select CARD Procedure Results and click Configure. For more information on how to customize the DB picklist, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download the latest Custom DB Picklists System Template forNextGen®Adaptive Content Engine. The Custom DBPicklist Setup window opens. Enter the procedure name and the result header. Result Header indicates where grid the result selections appear on Test Result Template. Note: You should type the same value for Procedure name that you enter on the other DB picklists for the Test Result Wizard. Enter a value for Result Selection. Assign Vascular Procedures

You can configure vascular procedures to use the Test Result Wizard template by assigning them to a Vascular Category on the CARD Procedure Link Vasc DB picklist. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. On the Custom DB Picklist system template, select CARD Procedure Link Vasc and then click Configure. The Custom DBPicklist Setup template opens. CARD Procedure Link Vasc DBPicklist Enter Vascular in the Category field. Enter one of the following for the Vascular Category: ABI Angiogram CT Duplex MRA Stent / PTA Vein Values entered for Vascular Category, appear in the first picklist when you select Vascular on the Cardiology Procedures template. You can create additional vascular categories. Enter the Procedure Name. To use the configurable Test Result Wizard template, enter CARD_test_result_wizard for the Template Name. Click Add. Assign Cardiac Procedures

You can use the CARD Procedure Link DB picklist to assign a procedure to a cardiac procedure category and specify the template that opens when you select the procedure from the list. Note: You need to pay close attention when you type each value in the DB picklists as some fields appear in multiple DB picklists. For example, you must enter the same value in Procedure Name and Category fields when you configure the procedure. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. On the Custom DB Picklists system template, select CARD Procedure Link and then click Configure. For more information on customizing the DB picklists, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download the latest Custom DB Picklists System Template for NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine. Add Result Selection Grid Labels

You can configure the grid labels and grid contents for the configurable Test Result Wizard template using the CARD Procedure List DB picklist. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. On the Custom DB Picklists system template, select CARD Procedure List and then click Configure. For more information on how to customize the DB picklist, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download the latest Custom DB Picklists System Template forNextGen®Adaptive Content Engine. The Custom DBPicklist Setup template opens. You can observe that the TAVR procedure uses Reason for surgery, Valve size, and Brand as labels for the result grids. CARD Procedure List DB Picklist Enter the category. Enter the procedure name. Note: You need to enter the Category and Procedure values multiple times during the configuration of the Test Result Wizard template. You must enter the same value each time. Add Procedures to DB Picklist Manager

To be able to link the procedure to an order, you must include the procedures configured using the Test Result Wizard, in the DB Picklist Manager. Open File Maintenance. For more information on how to customize the DB picklist, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download the latest Custom DB Picklists System Template forNextGen®Adaptive Content Engine. Click Master Files, select System, and select DB Picklist Manager. In the Selected section, right-click CARD_PROCEDURESORDERSXREF and select Populate. Scroll to the bottom of the grid and type the procedure name under the procedureabbr and procedureorder columns. Enter the appropriate values for the remaining columns. Click Close and then click OK. Configure Test Result Wizard

You can create new cardiac procedure test result wizards. You can use the Test Result Wizard template to configure a result template for procedures that are not packaged in NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine. You must configure the Test Result Wizard template on the Custom DB Picklist system template. For more information on customizing the DB picklist, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download the latest Custom DB Picklists System Template for NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine. After you configure a procedure, the procedure name appears under the assigned category on the Cardiology Procedures template. Note: You need to pay close attention when you type each value in the DB picklists as some fields appear in multiple DB picklists. For example, in Procedure Name and Category, you must enter the same value for these fields as you configure the procedure.
