Buttons in the Procedures Template

Field	Description
Consent link	Opens Consent - Procedures to document the procedure and consent details.
Consent	Generates the procedure consent document for preview. Enables you to print the document to be signed by the person consenting to the procedure.
Patient Education	Opens the Patient Education Browser, which contains a library of patient education documents.
Offline Proc Note	Submits the Procedure Note document for an offline generation.
Preview Proc Note	Generates the Procedure Note document in run time.

Generate Consent Report - Procedure Panel

In the Patient Consent section: Click the Consent link. The Consent Procedures template opens. Document Provider, Consent By, Type of Procedure, Date and appropriate consent information on the Consent Procedures template. Add additional consent data in the Comments field. Click Save & Close. The system populates the corresponding check boxes and fields in the Patient Consent section. Note: You can use the My Phrases link at the top-right of the Comments field to add comments. Generate a Patient Consent

In the Patient Consent section, Click Consent by and select the name of the person providing the consent. Select the appropriate check boxes to document the consent details. If you want to select all the check boxes in this section, select the Check all check box. Enter any Comments on the patient consent. You can use the My Phrases link at the top-right of the Comments field to add comments. For more information on managing and using the My Phrases functionality, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download the latest Getting Started User Guide forNextGen®Adaptive Content Engine. The Consent link opens the Consent - Procedures template to document additional details on the consent and the associated procedures. The system fills the fields in the Consent - Procedures template automatically based on the corresponding data entered in the Pre-Procedure Care panel. Generate Documents on the ASC - Physician Procedure Template

The following two buttons are available at the bottom of the ASC - Physician Procedure template: Button Function Procedure Letter Click to generate the Asc_Ref_Proc_Phy_proc_letter document for the referring providers as a reference to the procedure performed on the patient. Generate Document Click to generate encounter based document Or, Click the drop-down arrow on the button and select a procedure from the list to generate the procedure based document. The procedure note document includes all the details and the images associated with the selected procedure. Note: The system generates the referral note with the procedure document if you select the Generate Procedure Letter on generation of the Procedure document check box in the Procedure Documentation Config practice template. Generate Pre-Procedure Note Button

The Generate Pre-Procedure Note button at the bottom of the ASC - Preprocedure template generates the ASC Pre-Procedure document. Document Procedure Details

You can document the details of procedures performed during the patient encounter on the Procedures template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the SOAP template. Select the Navigation icon, and select the Procedures link from the navigation bar. The Procedures template opens. In the Pre-procedure care section, select the applicable check boxes after explaining the pre-procedural care details to the patient. Select a specific procedure link to access the template for the selected procedure. Document the applicable details in the procedure specific template. Select Save & Close. On the Procedures template, select the Offline Proc Note button to generate the procedure document with the details documented in the Procedures template. Parent topic: Documenting Procedures

Generate a Consent Report

On the SOAP template, click the Procedures link. The Procedures template opens. Click Consent. The Consent - Procedures template opens. Consent - Procedures Select the name of the provider. Select the relation of the person who gives the consent. Select the procedure type and the procedure date. To schedule the procedure within a short time, select To be scheduled in the near future. To enter a saved default set, click Quick Load and Save. Select the appropriate check boxes of the risks and benefits that are related to the procedure. To enter risks other than the listed check boxes, select Other. Select the appropriate check boxes for the decision taken after having discussion with the consented person. Enter any additional information in Comments. To send the consent form to the providers, click Send Task. Click Save and Close. Parent topic: Urology Procedures
