Add Lead Information

You can add the details of the lead of the implanted device.

1. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR.
2. In the left Navigation bar, click Device.
   The Device - Card template opens.
3. Click the Device/Lead Info link.
   The Implant Information - Device/Lead template opens.
4. On the Implant Information - Device/Lead template, select Lead.
   

   The interface type has been automatically entered.

5. Click the search icon . Search for and select the required implantable device.
   The Brand Name/Description, Manufacturer, and Model fields have been filled with the details of the selected implantable device.
6. Enter the details of the lead as follows:
   1. Enter the serial number and function of the lead.
   2. Select the location of the lead from the list. If the location is not in the list, type the location.
   3. Enter the date of implanting the device in the patient.
   4. Select the chamber location where the device was implanted.
   5. Enter the electrode polarity details of the lead.
   6. Select the status of the lead.
   7. If the device was removed from the patient, enter the removal date.
7. Click Save & Close.
   The lead details appear in the Device Information grid and in the Implantable Devices section in the Procedure module.
