Manage Additional SIG Instruction Categories Panel

The Modify Additional SIG instruction Categories panel enables practices to add additional SIG categories so that additional SIG can be pre-configured to these categories. Open the Medication Configuration template. Expand the Modify Additional SIG Instruction Categories panel. Modify Additional SIG Instruction Categories panel In the Category name field, enter a new category name. Select Add. The category name appears in the grid. Modify Additional SIG Instruction Categories panel To modify the added category, do one of the following: To update the category name, select the category in the grid, change the category name, and select Update. To remove the category, select the category, and select Remove. Add Medication Inventory

The Medication Dispensing Inventory panel enables you to update medication inventory at a location. The entered medication appears in the Manage Selected Order grid and the entered lot number is accessible from the Order Management template. Open the Medication Configuration template. Expand the Medication Dispensing Inventory panel. Medication Dispensing Inventory panel Enter a medication in the Medication Search field. You can search for a medication either by a generic or brand name. The GCN, Generic name, Brand name, Status, Medication ID, Practice ID, Medication display name, Strength, and Route fields display specific information related to the selected medication. Medication Dispensing Inventory panel For the Location field, do one of the following: Select a location from the Location field to link it to a specific location. Select Clear to make it available for all locations in your practice. Enter a valid lot number in the Lot number field. The lot number entered is accessible

Update an Associated SIG and Diagnosis Code

Open the Medication Configuration template. Expand the Medication Dispensing Inventory panel. Select an entry in the grid. In the Associated SIM codes grid, select a SIM code from the list. In the Associated diagnosis codes field, search for and select a diagnosis code. Click Update. The codes appear in the grid. Medication Configuration

The Medication Configuration template allows you to configure and document dispensing or administering medications to patients at the practice. You can track and document dispensing while remaining within their current workflows Only medications set up in the Medication Configuration system template can be dispensed or administered on the Order Management template, provided they have also been placed in the patient’s Medication Module. The Medication Configuration template consists of three panels: Medication Dispensing Inventory Modify Additional SIG Instruction Categories Additional SIG Configuration Add Medication Inventory You can add medication inventory to a location. Manage Additional SIG Instruction Categories Panel You can add, update, and remove additional SIG categories. Dispense Medications in the Order Management Template

The Manage Selected Order section is used to dispense, restock, and administer medicines and add additional SIGs. Highlight the medication in the grid. If you have not configured the selected medications in the Medication Configuration system template, an alert message appears. Order Management template If the medications are configured in the Medication Configuration template, it updates the Order, Lot number, Expiration date and other fields. Order Management template If there is an Additional SIG available, click the Additional SIG check box. Click the Additional SIG category and Additional SIG field and select an option from the picklist. Click the Dispensed option. Enter the Quantity dispensed. Enter Comments. Select a SIM code. Click the Diagnosis code field. Select a Diagnosis code. Click Save & Task. The Select Task Recipients window opens. Select Task Recipients window Click Ok. An alert message displays if you want to task it to yourself. Click Yes. A task is sent to your Inb

Add a Medication

Click Add under the Medications grid. The Medications Module opens. On the Medications Module, click Prescribe New. The Medication Search window opens. Type the name in the Find field. As you type additional letters, the search is refined to match what you have entered. Double-click on the medication to add it to the Selected Medications grid. If the drug has any counter indications or interactions with other medications, or specifics of how it can be purchased or prescribed, a dialog box opens for you to acknowledge those. Once you have added all medications, click Select. This enters the medications in the Medications Module. Enter the Sig, Quantity, Refills, and Start date from the corresponding list. If applicable, select the Prescribed elsewhere check box. Click Accept. Click the X in the upper right of the window to close the Medications Module.
