Document the Additional Findings of the Procedure in the Findings Panel

In the Reason for Visit section, select the applicable procedure to document the finding. To select more reasons for visit, click the Extra button on the Reason for Visit section and then select the Manage reasons for visit option from the menu. The Reason for Visit window opens. Findings Click the field at the bottom of the window to select a reason from the list. Click Add. The Findings section includes the findings that are configured on the Procedure Documentation Config practice template. Based on the procedure selected in the Reason for Visit section, click the appropriate illustration tab ( Upper GI, Lower GI, and Anal/Rectal) to display the corresponding illustration. Each illustration is divided into regions. In the Findings section, select a finding. Click a particular location on the illustration to select a region. The label appears on the selected region in the GET. The selected finding uploads in the grid on the GET, and in the procedure findings grid below the GET. Findi

Graphical Exam Tool Settings

The Graphical Exam Tool (GET) in the Findings panel allows you to capture and save images, view follow-up items, and modify various settings for ease of use. The top-right side of the GET includes buttons as described in the table. Button Tooltip Action or Display Follow Up Items Click to display follow-up items. If the findings in the GET grid are flagged, the number of flagged (follow up) items appears on the button. Acquire Images from Scanner or Camera Select a finding on the static illustration or in the GET grid and click to display video device. The camera button allows you to capture images from a scanner or camera. The images save as .bmp file. Click OK. The image appears on the left pane, below the Findings section. Save Annotated Image to Chart Click to save the annotated image to patient chart. Options and Settings Popup Menu Click to display sub-menu for additional settings. Findings Panel on the ASC - Physician Procedure Template

The Findings panel enables you to document additional findings associated with a procedure. The findings are configured on the Procedure Documentation Config practice template. For more information on configuration of procedure findings, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download the latest Procedure Documentation Config Practice Template User Guide forNextGen®Adaptive Content Engine. Note: The additional findings documented in this panel do not display in the Documentation panel on the ASC - Physician Procedure template and vice versa. To document additional findings for a procedure, you need to select a procedure in the Procedure panel. After you select a procedure(s), the Findings panel displays the first procedure in the Reason for Visit section. The Reason for Visit section includes the left and right arrows to navigate to the previous and next procedure. Attach Images to a Finding

Each finding can have one image attached to it. After an image is attached, you can attach a different image to the finding. The previous image remains in the patient's chart. You can attach images to findings in the following ways: Attach an image file stored on your file system or saved to the patient's chart for the current encounter. Attach a photo stored on your file system. Import a web camera or video device image. Each attached image has a unique name. If you attach an image from your file system or a web cam/video device, the GET names it as finding name - region description. If you attach an image that has the same name (description) as another image attached to a different finding, the name is followed by a number in parentheses. For example: Basal Cell Skin Cancer, Basal Cell Skin Cancer (2), and Basal Cell Skin Cancer (3). Attach a File System or Patient Chart Image

The Finding Images enables you to attach an image to each finding made. You can attach an image file saved to your file system or the patient's chart for the current encounter. You can annotate and save images to the patient's chart using the Image module. After you attach a patient chart image, the Graphical Exam Tool (GET) displays the latest saved annotations made to it. If the patient chart image is signed off in the PAQ, the signature is not affected by attaching the image to a finding. Associate Multiple Images from the Finding Images

The Finding Images feature enables you to attach an image to each finding. You can attach an image file saved to your file system or the patient's chart for the current encounter. Select a patient. Select an existing encounter or create a encounter. Open the template that contains the Graphical Exam Tool (GET) component. The GET component window opens. Select the Options and Settings Popup Menu icon and select Finding Images. The Finding Images window opens. From the IMAGES pane, drag an image to a FINDING and repeat as needed. As images are added to the Finding, the image count displays as 1 of x, 2 of x, and so on (where x is the total number of images). The format for the description is as follows: Finding Name - Region Description( x. y) where x represents the sequential number of multiple images sets and y represents the image number in the set.
