You can add a SNOMED mapping in the
SNOMED Configuration
practice template.
Access the
SNOMED Configuration
practice template
.
Right-click the
SNOMED
grid and select
Add New
.
The
SNOMED Mapping - [New Record]
template opens.
Enter a field name, and a symptom in the appropriate fields.
Enter a concept in the
Concept ID 1
,
Concept ID 2
, and
Concept ID 3
fields.
Enter a SNOMED code in the
SNOMED Code 1
and
SNOMED Code 2
fields.
Click
Save
and click
Close
.
The information entered appears in the
SNOMED
grid.

Modify a SNOMED Code Mapping
You can modify a SNOMED mapping in the SNOMED Configuration practice template. Access the SNOMED Configuration practice template. Select an entry in the SNOMED grid that you want to modify. Right-click the entry and select Open to edit the information. Note: Click Delete to delete the entry. Make the required changes. Click Saveand click Close. Sort the SNOMED Mappings
You can sort the list of SNOMED mappings in the SNOMED Configuration practice template by column, including symptom, name of the field mapped to, any of the concept IDs, or SNOMED Code. Access the SNOMED Configuration practice template. Right-click on the SNOMED grid and select Sort Special to sort the information by column, in ascending or descending order. The Sort Special window appears. Click a column name in the Sort Special window. Select the Asc. or Desc. option. Select the applicable check boxes. Click OK. Access the SNOMED Config Practice Template
From the File menu, select System \ Practice Template. On the Select Template window, click the Practice tab. In the Show section, select All to see a complete list of practice templates. To access the SNOMED Configuration practice template: Double-click SNOMED Configuration. Select SNOMED Configuration and then click OK. The SNOMED Configuration practice template appears. Manage SNOMED Codes on the SNOMED Config Template
The SNOMED Configuration practice template enables you to add and edit SNOMED codes that appear in NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine. The SNOMED Configuration practice template is linked to the symptom master tables and fields for Review of Systems (ROS). During a code submit at the end of a visit, a SNOMED CT code is added for any symptoms that are marked as positive during the encounter. The SNOMED Configuration practice template is updated when there are changes made to either the symptom_master or the symptom_master2 templates. Set up ICD SNOMED Map Trigger
The ICD SNOMED action enables users to view and assign the following: ICD code(s) mapped to a selected SNOMED-CT problem to today's assessment or encounter If only one ICD code is associated with the selected SNOMED problem, the ICD description, ICD diagnosis code ID, and the ICD code are automatically assigned to the selected variable or template field. If more than one ICD code is associated with the selected SNOMED problem, the user must select an ICD code from a list in a window to assign the ICD description, ICD diagnosis code ID, and the ICD code to a variable or a template field.
