Manage SNOMED Codes on the SNOMED Config Template

The SNOMED Configuration practice template enables you to add and edit SNOMED codes that appear in NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine. The SNOMED Configuration practice template is linked to the symptom master tables and fields for Review of Systems (ROS). During a code submit at the end of a visit, a SNOMED CT code is added for any symptoms that are marked as positive during the encounter. The SNOMED Configuration practice template is updated when there are changes made to either the symptom_master or the symptom_master2 templates. Add a New SNOMED Code Mapping

You can add a SNOMED mapping in the SNOMED Configuration practice template. Access the SNOMED Configuration practice template. Right-click the SNOMED grid and select Add New. The SNOMED Mapping - [New Record] template opens. Enter a field name, and a symptom in the appropriate fields. Enter a concept in the Concept ID 1, Concept ID 2, and Concept ID 3 fields. Enter a SNOMED code in the SNOMED Code 1 and SNOMED Code 2 fields. Click Saveand click Close. The information entered appears in the SNOMED grid. Modify a SNOMED Code Mapping

You can modify a SNOMED mapping in the SNOMED Configuration practice template. Access the SNOMED Configuration practice template. Select an entry in the SNOMED grid that you want to modify. Right-click the entry and select Open to edit the information. Note: Click Delete to delete the entry. Make the required changes. Click Saveand click Close. Configure SNOMED Codes for a Condition or Management

Click File and then select System/Practice. In Select Template, click All and then select Configure Medical, Surgical, and Family Hx from the list. Expand the Condition and Management Configuration panel. Select a condition or management type. Enter a condition or management. To enter a code, click the Code field and then search for and select a SNOMED code. If a SNOMED code does not exist for a condition or management, then select the Code N/A check box to create a custom code. Click Add. The condition or the management you added appears in the grid. You can filter the records in the grid.
