Add a New DHPI Test Code to a Data Set

The DHPI Test Codes data set on Data Sets Setup practice template enables you to apply synonyms for the code or description of tests that are used on dynamic HPI templates.

  1. In NextGen® Enterprise, from the File menu, click the System/Practice Template.
    The Select Template window appears.
  2. Click the Practice tab and under Show, click All.
  3. Double-click Data Sets Setup to open the practice template.
  4. In the Data Set field, click to select DHPI Test Codes from the list.
    The codes and descriptions associated with the DHPI Test Codes data set appear in the grid.
  5. Click Add.
    The Template Data Sets Setup - [New Record] template appears.
  6. Click Test.
    A list with all the test names currently available in the system appears.
  7. Do one of the following:
    • Select a name from the list, and then click OK.
    • Select the blank line near the top of the list to enter a new value, and then click OK to type the name in the Test field.
  8. Enter either the Code or Description.
  9. Click Save and then click Close.
    The Test Codes data set can be changed to enter additional synonyms or items for orders.
    All new entries appear in the grid on the Data Sets Setup practice template.
  10. To add another DHPI Test Code item to the data set, click the Clear For Add button and repeat the steps outlined above.
