Add a New Bullet ID - Field Mapping

  1. On the NE&M Bullets and Field Mapping system template, access the EM BULLET ID - FIELD MAPPING section.
  2. If an EM Type is not currently selected, select an option from the drop-down arrow.
  3. Select the table that contains the exam fields to be mapped from the drop-down in the Table field.
The data grid displays a list of fields found in the selected table.
  4. Non-clinical fields may also be listed in the Mapping data grid, so not all fields need to be mapped for any particular template. In this example, the EM Type has already been selected.
  5. If the desired table is not listed in the picklist, click the Page 4 (Tables) link to add the table to the EM Table List.
  6. Click the Table field to select an option from the picklist. In this example, the table pe_cardiovascular is selected.

  7. Select a field to map by clicking on a row in the Mapping grid. The Mapping grid only displays the fields found in the selected table. The selected field name appears in the Field Name field.

  8. Click the Pick a Bullet ID field.
A picklist of all of the EM Bullet IDs associated with the current EM Type appears. The bullets and their corresponding descriptions are listed for matching the field to the appropriate bullet ID. In this example, the MS_All option in the EM Type field, the pe_cardiovascular option in the Table field, and the field to be mapped, is selected as comments in the Field Name field. Click the Pick a Bullet ID field to launch a picklist. In this example, the EM Bullet ID ms_cardio_1 with description Auscultation of heart with notation of abnormal sounds or murmurs is selected.

  9. When you have completed the changes, click the Apply Changes button to activate the changes.
  10. The mappings for the history fields are done in the same manner.
    • Click the EM Type and select the Histories option.

In the Table field select either Master Im for past and family history, or Social History for social history.

The associated doc_gen history fields are already mapped to the appropriate EM Bullet ID for each history type.
