Field	Description
Name	Displays patient name
DOB	Displays patient's date of birth
Person Nbr	Displays patient's number in the NextGen® Enterprise EHR
SSN	Displays patient social security number
Stage	Displays the stage or template from where interface application is started.
Monitored by	Displays the user name documented in the Monitored by field in the Vital Signs Monitoring panel.

Update Pain Level in the Vital Signs Monitoring Panel

In the Vital Signs Monitoring panel, Select the Refresh button to import all the vital signs records captured by the interface. Highlight the vital signs record below the baseline vitals in the grid. Select Edit. Select Pain level and select the pain level from the list to associate with the selected vital signs record. Select Save & Close.The pain level updates in the grid and the Recorded by column displays the current user name. Import Vital Signs from Interface to Vital Signs Monitoring Panel

In the Vital Signs Monitoring panel, Select Interface Vitals.The Vital Signs Monitor window opens. Vital Signs Monitor Select Interval (minute) and select the appropriate monitoring interval from the list. Select COM Port and select the COM port the vital sign device is connected to. Select Start Monitor.The interface starts capturing the patient's vital signs from the device every number of minutes specified in the Interval (minute) field, and displays in the Captured Data grid. Minimize the Vital Signs Monitor interface. In the Vital Signs Monitoring panel, select Refresh.The vital signs import from the Vital Signs Monitor interface into the grid. The Recorded by column in the grid displays the value Interface. Maximize the Vital Signs Monitor interface. After you complete the procedure, select the Stop Monitor button to stop capturing the vital signs from the device. Close the Vital Signs Monitor interface. Vital Signs Monitor

The nurse or medical assistant has to document patient's vitals every three or five minutes during a procedure. To allow the nurse to document the vitals and at the same time assist the provider in performing a procedure, the vital signs interface is used. The vital signs interface captures the patient's vital signs from the vital signs monitor or vital signs device throughout the procedure at specific intervals of time. The captured vital signs import from the interface into the grid in the Vital Signs Monitoring panel. Vital Signs

You can configure multiple options using the Vital Signs section. options_on_vital_signs_section The Vital Signs section allows you to configure the following: BMI Calculation - If you select the Manual BMI Calculation checkbox, the BMI of the patient calculates after you select Calculate on the Vital Signs template. Note: The Manual BMI Calculation setting can be used when your system performance is slow. On the Vital Signs template, you can select Calculate next to the BSA field if the BMI value does not automatically appear after entering the required vitals for the BMI calculation. View Patient Vital Signs

You can view a quick record of the patient's vital signs in NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR, and select a patient from the Patient Lookup window. To view a quick list of the patient's recorded vital signs, on the Quick Buttons panel, hover over Vital Signs. If no vital signs are recorded for the patient, a message appears stating that no vital signs records are found. The Vital Signs table appears based on patient's current age displaying the most recent sets of vital signs that are recorded for the patient in reverse chronological order. Note: Abnormal values are denoted by red-colored text and the indicator. To open the Vital Sign History window, which displays separate grids for the patient's vital signs and orthostatic vital signs, on the Quick Buttons panel, select Vital Signs.
