Submit Charges for SBIRT Billing

You can enter billing information for a SBIRT screening session and submit the charges to Superbill in the SBIRT Billing panel of the SBIRT Screening template.

1. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR.
2. In the navigation bar, select Screening Tools.
   The Screening Tools template opens.
3. In the Screening Tools Available section, select Screening, Brief Intervention, and Referral to Treatment (SBIRT).
   The SBIRT Screening template opens.

   

4. In the navigation bar, select Screening Tools.
   The Screening Tools template opens.
5. Expand the SBIRT Billing panel.
   Note: NextGen® Enterprise EHR automatically retrieves the assessment, code, and status details from the Brief Intervention panel.

6. Select the duration and service item.
7. Select Submit to Superbill.
   The changes are submitted for billing.
8. Save and close the template.
