Remove an Entire Guideline by Condition

You can remove an entire care guideline by condition for a patient in the Remove/Restore Guidelines panel. You can remove an entire guideline by condition using the Condition/Reason list grid in the left side of the Remove/Restore Guidelines panel. This functionality enables you to remove an activated guideline added by mistake for a wrong patient. Note: You can only remove a guideline during the same encounter in which it was activated. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Select the Care Guidelines link on any of the main template. The Care Guidelines template opens. Select Add/Update in the Care Guidelines panel. The Activate Care Guidelines template opens. Expand the Remove/Restore Guidelines panel. Select a condition listed in the left side Condition/Reason grid. Remove/Restore Guidelines Select Remove. Removing a Care Guideline or Individual Guideline Item

You can remove a care guideline for a patient in the Remove/Restore Guidelines panel. You can use the Remove/Restore Guidelines panel on the Activate Care Guideline template to remove individual guideline items or an entire care guideline by disease condition. You can also restore guidelines that are removed. You can do the following: Remove a guideline by condition is only available for the most current encounter for the patient. Remove an individual guideline item that is not followed while the remaining items for the guideline are followed for the patient. Remove a guideline in the current encounter, if you add a guideline by mistake or it no longer applies to the patient. If the guideline was added in a past encounter, historical documentation is saved, but cannot see the guideline in future encounters. Select Care Guideline Items to Remove

You can remove a patient's care guidelines in the Report and Remove panel. In Report and Remove, you can search for specific care guideline items with associated patient-level data to review and remove. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. From File, select System \ Practice Template.The Select Template window opens. On the Practice tab, select the All option. Select Care Guidelines Clear and Restore, and then select OK Expand the Report and Remove panel, and then in Apply to, select All Practice or Current Practice. Select one or more of the following search criteria: Applying Provider Reason type Condition/Reason Guideline Item To search for guideline items filtered by customization, select Exclude Customized or Include Customized, and then select Search. Note: Search becomes available only when you select a filter criterion. Records matching the search criteria appear in the Report and Remove grid. Restore a Guideline Item

You can restore a care guideline item for a patient using the Remove/Restore Guidelines panel. You can restore a care guideline or guideline item removed previously, so that it can be followed for a patient. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Select the Care Guidelines link on any of the main template. The Care Guidelines template opens. Select Add/Update in the Care Guidelines panel. The Activate Care Guidelines template opens. In the Activate Guidelines panel, select the Conditionfrom the list. Select Add to activate it again. This re-applies the guideline. Select Save & Close. Note: When you re-apply a guideline, the application goes through all of the existing items that are active, and only re-applies the one that is missing from the set for the condition. Remove a Guideline

You can remove a guideline for a patient on the Care Guideline Setup template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. On the Care Guidelines Setup template, expand the Define Guideline Reasons & Auto Application panel. Select the guideline from the data grid. Details listed in the grid for the guideline fill in the fields above the grid. Select the Remove button. The guideline no longer displays in the grid with active guidelines. Display Specific Active Guideline Item for a Patient

You can filter display items for a specific guideline that is active for a patient. You can filter what appears in the Care Guidelines panel to display only those items that are part of a specific guideline which is active for the patient. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Select the Care Guidelines link on any of the main template.The Care Guidelines Paged View template opens. Expand the Care Guidelines panel. To display only those item that is part of a specific guideline which is active for the patient, do one of the following: Select the link for guideline of interest in the left pane. Select the Show All link to display all guideline items active for the patient. The Care Guidelines panel refreshes to display only those items that are part of the selected guideline.
