View Removed (Inactive) Guidelines

You can view removed guideline for a patient on the Care Guideline Setup template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. On the Care Guidelines Setup template, expand the Define Guideline Reasons & Auto Application panel. Select the Show only Removed/Inactive checkbox to display all guidelines that are removed and are not inactive. Modify an Existing Guideline

You can modify a guideline for a patient on the Care Guideline Setup template. Before you begin You must select the Auto-Apply checkbox to make the Birth sex, Start age, Stop age, and Diagnosis group fields available. Open NextGen® Office EHR. From File, select System \ Practice Template.The Select Template window opens. On the Practice tab, select the All option. Select Care Guideline Setup, and then select OK.The Care Guideline Setup practice template opens. Expand the Define Guideline Reasons & Auto Application panel and select the guideline from the data grid.Details listed in the grid for the guideline fill in the fields. These values can be modified. Note: When you update a guideline, the current Guideline Condition/Reason does not change. Modify the birth sex, start age, stop age, and diagnosis group as necessary. Select Care Guideline Items to Remove

You can remove a patient's care guidelines in the Report and Remove panel. In Report and Remove, you can search for specific care guideline items with associated patient-level data to review and remove. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. From File, select System \ Practice Template.The Select Template window opens. On the Practice tab, select the All option. Select Care Guidelines Clear and Restore, and then select OK Expand the Report and Remove panel, and then in Apply to, select All Practice or Current Practice. Select one or more of the following search criteria: Applying Provider Reason type Condition/Reason Guideline Item To search for guideline items filtered by customization, select Exclude Customized or Include Customized, and then select Search. Note: Search becomes available only when you select a filter criterion. Records matching the search criteria appear in the Report and Remove grid. Remove an Existing Recommended Care Item

You can remove an existing recommended care item using the Recommended Care practice template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. From File, select System \ Practice Template.The Select Template window opens. On the Practice tab, select the All option. Select Care Guideline Setup, and then select OK.The Care Guideline Setup practice template opens. Expand the Manage Groups and Options panel and select the Recommended Care link.The Recommended Care practice template opens. Select the guideline in the Recommended Care grid.The selected row displays its details in the edit fields above the Recommended Care grid, including: condition, type of recommendation, the recommended care item, and its reference information. The Goals, Status, and Compliance grids display the values that are configured for the selected recommended care item. Remove/Inactivate an Existing Orderable Guideline Item

You can remove an orderable test item of a patient on the Care Guideline Setup template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. From File, select System \ Practice Template.The Select Template window opens. On the Practice tab, select the All option. Select Care Guideline Setup, and then select OK.The Care Guideline Setup practice template opens. Expand the Intervention/Orders Setup panel, select the guideline or test item from the grid.Details for the guideline or test item appear in the fields above the grid. Select Remove.The guideline or test item no longer appears in the grid as active for the selected Reason type. Filter Selected Guidelines in the Active Guidelines Grid

You can filter selected active care guidelines of a patient in the Active Guidelines panel. There are several ways to filter and display only selected guidelines in the Active Guidelines panel grid. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Select the Care Guidelines link on any of the main template.The Care Guidelines template opens. Select Add/Update in the Care Guidelines panel.The Activate Care Guidelines template opens. In the Active Guidelines panel, to display only items due within a specific time period, select the Due within checkbox and then select the number of days, weeks, or months from the Show only items due within window. Activate Guidelines To display items for a selected guideline: Select the Display only selected guideline checkbox. Select the Condition from the list. Note: The grid do not display any items of a selected guideline that has not been activated for the patient.
