You can use the Spirometry panel to document Spirometry results.
 
  The Spirometry panel is located on the Intake - Allergy and the SOAP - Allergy templates.
 
 
  - Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR.
 
  - Open the Intake - Allergy or SOAP - Allergy template.
 
  - In the Spirometry panel, select Add.
   
    The Spirometry template opens.
   
 
  - In the Pulmonary Function Testing panel, do the following:
   
    - Enter Obstructive airflow limitation.
 
    - Enter Bronchodilator responsiveness.
 
    - Enter Ventilatory volumes and Lung volumes details.
 
    - Select the Gas transfer level.
 
    - Enter the Flow-Volume loop details.
 
    - Enter the details in the Arterial blood gas results and Oxygen tension sections.
 
    - Indicate the level of Carboxyhemoglobin and Acid-Base Interpretation
 
    - Select the applicable checkboxes regarding plateau phase, COPD or asthma, and restrictive impairment.
 
    - Select the applicable option for pre-operative quantitative perfusion scan.
 
    - Select the quality of study.
 
    - Select the date and comparison details if you have compared the current study details with the previous one.
 
    - Enter the additional comments, if any.
 
   
 
  - To record the physician reading and sign-off, select the Physician reading completed by checkbox.
   
    Note: The system cannot submit the procedure to the Superbill if Physician reading completed by is not selected.
    
 
     
  - Select the tests performed and to be billed in the Complete pulmonary function test billing section.
 
  - Review previous Spirometry test results in the Historical Results panel.
 
  - Select Save & Close.
   
    The selected procedures are submitted to the Procedures module.
