Field	Description
Section preview	Displays concatenation for the selected section.
Linked post section preview	Displays the concatenation of the section and the post section if you select the Linked post section checkbox.
Paragraph preview	Displays the concatenation of all the selected values. If you select a static value in the Documentation panel, the static values or any linked values appear in this field.

Configure Concatenation for a Section

You to configure content to appear before (pre-text), in the middle (middle-text) or after (post-text) the section value using the Concatenation section. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. From the File menu, select System \ Practice Template. In Select Template, select the Practice tab. In the Show section, select All.A list of practice templates opens. Select Procedure Documentation Config and select OK. On the Procedure Documentation Config practice template, expand the Documentation panel. Select Procedure and select a procedure from the list.The procedures are configured for a specialty on the Procedure Config practice template. Select the Procedure documentation or Procedure findings option. Select a section from the left pane.The associated descriptions appear in the right grid. Select a row from the right grid.The selected section value appears in the Section field in the Concatenation section. Configuration Options Section

You can configure default functionality on certain fields and buttons using the Configuration Options section. The Configuration Options section in the Documentation panel includes the following checkboxes: Default paragraph view to editable Generate Procedure Letter on generation of the Procedure document If you select the Default paragraph view to editable checkbox, the system allows you to edit the text concatenated in the paragraph format in the grid on the runtime ASC Procedure. Documentation template and the ASC Phy Procedure Findings template. The information icon is available to view the information on the functionality of the Default paragraph view to editable checkbox in runtime. If you select the Generate Procedure Letter on generation of the Procedure document checkbox, the system allows you to generate a referral letter along with the procedure document from the lower Generate Document button of the ASC - Physician Procedure template. Verify the Source Template and Field for Shared Fields

Many templates contain fields that are shared from a source template. For shared fields, you must specify the table and field names of the source template, not the table and field names on the target template. After you define a coded results mapping for a source field, all templates that have that source field as a shared field, use the same mapping. You must verify all fields to specify the correct table and field names. Access the template that has the field for which you are creating a coded results mapping. Right-click any blank space on the template. A resulting menu appears. Select Show Field Names. Hover over the field. A tooltip appears displaying the source table and field names separated by a dot. Tooltip Use the displayed table and field names while defining the coded results mapping for the field. Note: In the tooltip, there may be additional text after the field name, separated by a colon. Fields on Test Dates Data Items

Following are the descriptions of the Test Dates fields: Field Description Template Name Enter the name of the template on which the test value is displayed when it is retrieved from the database. Test Name Enter the name of the test that is retrieved from the database. Test Type Enter the type of the test. The valid values are: Order: Indicates that the test values are retrieved from the Order_table. Lab: Indicates that the test values are retrieved from the Order (Lab) module. Proc: Indicates that the test values are retrieved from the Procedure module. The Test Type field in the data set indicates the name of the table from where the data can be retrieved by the stored procedure. Test Date Table Enter the name of the table where the Test Date is stored. This date is displayed on any template when retrieved from the database. Configure Procedure Documentation and Findings

You can add the procedure documentation and procedure findings values for sections and subsections in the Procedure Documentation Config practice template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. From the File menu, select System \ Practice Template. The Select Template window opens. From the Show section, select All. Select Procedure Documentation Config, and then select OK.The Procedure Documentation Config practice template opens. Copy a Field without Triggers

You can copy only active text, check box, data entry (edit), or radio button fields. The fields can be native to the template or shared from another template. You can copy existing local fields the same way you do other fields. To create a local field from a copied field, see Copy a Field as a Local Field. Do one of the following: To display copy options, right-click the field, and then select Copy Field. In the template, right-click where you want to place the copied field, and select Paste Field. Select the field, and then select CTRL+C. In the template, select where you want to place the copied field, and select CTRL+V. The window for inserting the selected field type appears.
