Evaluation Panel

The Evaluation panel on the PT Finalize template is where you can make changes to the evaluation visit type and its associated code, add up to three modifiers, enter a number of billing units, and select a diagnosis to be associated with the evaluation visit. Complete Billing for Procedure Items

Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. In the Assessment panel on the PT Finalize template, select an assessment listed in the Encounter Diagnosis grid. To associate the diagnosis with a treatment, click the first available Dx code field in the row displaying the treatment.All Procedure rows displaying treatments that were performed automatically display the selected encounter diagnosis code under the Dx code field. This is done to eliminate the need to keep re-selecting the assessment and clicking in the Dx code field for the following treatment. Up to four diagnosis codes can be associated with a treatment procedure. If appropriate, click the treatment procedure’s first available Modifier field and select the modifier from the picklist.Up to three modifiers can be entered. Finalize Template

You can use the Finalize template at the end of an encounter to review the encounter, record and calculate time-based and service-based Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) codes, and associate the appropriate diagnosis codes for billing. Document Treatments Performed Today

The Performed Today section is used to document what treatments performed during the treatment encounter and enter additional information. Treatments, CPT and Time (mins) values carry forward to future encounters where they can be modified or updated as needed. Treatment Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. On the Objective template, navigate to the Treatment panel. In the Performed Today section, complete treatment details performed. Click the Weight field and use the numeric keypad to enter the weight used when performing the exercise/treatment, if applicable. Click the Sets field to enter the number of sets of the exercise/treatment performed, if applicable. Click the Reps field to enter the number of repetitions performed in each set of the exercise/treatment. Click the Exertion field and select the exertion level when the exercise/treatment was being performed from the picklist. Overview of the Finalize Template Workflow

You can complete the encounter workflow using the Finalize template. The template allows you to do the following: Calculate all the elements documented in the Intake, Histories, and SOAP templates. Select the Evaluation and Management (E&M) code level for the visit. Submit the E&M coding to the Superbill module.
