Military Time Configuration for Ophthalmology ASC

The Use Military format for Ophthalmology ASC time fields setting enables practices to decide what time format to use for fields related to Time for Ophthalmology Ambulatory Surgical Center (ASC), using 24-hour time format or using the 12-hour time format with “AM” and “PM”. This configuration setting is specific to the Ophthalmology ASC templates.

Selecting the Use Military format check box causes the time fields on the Ophthalmology ASC templates to display time values using the 24-hour time format, referred to as “Military time”.

Leaving this check box not selected means the time fields on the Ophthalmology ASC templates display time values using the 12-hour format with “AM” and “PM". By default, this configuration setting is not selected.

The following shows the Ophthalmology ASC OR Record template displaying time when the Use military format check box is selected, and the templates are configured to use military format (24-hour time format).
