Intake Staff Workflow

The intake staff workflow involves documenting the patient encounter in the Intake and Histories templates. The information documented by the intake staff is used by the provider for reference and to proceed with the encounter. You can use the templates for Gynecology to document information related to patient encounters specific to Gynecology. Patient Encounters for the Gynecology Visits You can use the NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine Gynecology specialty templates to document the encounter details for different visit types. General Office and Virtual Visit Workflow A general visit consists of office and virtual visits. Intake Staff Workflow The Provider Workflow You can review the patient's medical summary details on the Home Page template and then open the SOAP and Finalize templates. Access the GET Settings Window

On the Intake template select Specialty as Dermatology and Visit Type as Office Visit. To open the GET template, click GET tab. To open the menu, click the icon. Open the Home Page Template

You can obtain the patient summary on the Home Page template. To open the Templates module on a patient encounter, do one of the following: On the Categories or Encounter History tab, select Open Template. On Top Toolbar, select Templates. On the main menu, select File > New > Template. The Select Template window opens. On the Medical Records tab, select All. Select Home Page, and then select OKThe Home Page template opens. Home Page Template

You can review and document the summary of a patient's information on the Home Page template. The Home Page template allows you to view and document patients' problems, history, allergies, medications, vital signs, orders, and so on. Access the Dynamic HPI Template

Open the Intake template. Select the appropriate specialty name from the Specialty list. For example, select Gastroenterology. Select Office Visit from the Visit Type list. Click the SOAP tab. Do one of the following in the Reason for Visit panel: Click an existing reason for visit in the grid. Select a new reason for visit.
