	Acquire Images from Scanner or Camera	Select a finding on the static illustration or in the GET grid and select to display video device. The camera button allows you to capture images from a scanner or camera. The images save as .bmp file. Select OK. The image appears on the left pane, below the Findings section.
	Save Annotated Image to Chart	Select to save the annotated image to patient chart.
	Options and Settings Popup Menu	Select to display sub-menu for additional settings.

Add Additional Images to a Finding

You can attach a different image to the finding. Each attached image has a unique name. If you attach an image that was saved to the patient's chart, its name is retained, but you can assign another name. If you attach an image from your file system or a web cam/video device, the GET names it as finding name - location, for example: Polyp - Ascending Colon. If you attach an image that has the same name (description) as another image attached to a different finding, the name is followed by a number in parentheses. For example: Polyp - Ascending Colon, Polyp - Ascending Colon (2), and Polyp - Ascending Colon (3). In GET, select the Options and Settings Popup Menu button and select Finding Images from the menu. Findings The Finding Images window opens. Finding Images From the VIEW list, select one of the following: Patient's ChartThe available images in the chart appear in the left pane of the Finding Images window. Image Files Select the Browse button. The Browse for Folder window opens.

Document the Additional Findings of the Procedure in the Findings Panel

In the Reason for Visit section, select the applicable procedure to document the finding. To select more reasons for visit, select the Extra button on the Reason for Visit section and then select the Manage reasons for visit option from the menu. The Reason for Visit window opens. Findings Select the field at the bottom of the window to select a reason from the list. Select Add. The Findings section includes the findings that are configured on the Procedure Documentation Config practice template. Based on the procedure selected in the Reason for Visit section, select the appropriate illustration tab ( Upper GI, Lower GI, and Anal/Rectal) to display the corresponding illustration. Each illustration is divided into regions. In the Findings section, select a finding. Select a particular location on the illustration to select a region.The label appears on the selected region in the GET. The selected finding uploads in the grid on the GET, and in the procedure findings grid below the GET. F

Findings Panel on the ASC - Physician Procedure Template

The Findings panel allows you to document additional findings associated with a procedure. The findings are configured on the Procedure Documentation Config practice template. For more information on configuration of procedure findings, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download the Procedure Documentation Config Practice Template User Guide for NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine. Note: The additional findings documented in this panel do not display in the Documentation panel on the ASC - Physician Procedure template and vice versa. To document additional findings for a procedure, you need to select a procedure in the Procedure panel. After you select a procedure(s), the Findings panel displays the first procedure in the Reason for Visit section. The Reason for Visit section includes the left and right arrows to go to the previous and next procedure. The placement of the annotations is converted into text and captured as an attribute of the finding. The attributes are saved to the patient's chart. For example, a dermatologist can place findings for cancer on an image. The attributes related to each finding can include size, color, location, or description. Attach a finding to a chief complaint or reason for visit. You can attach multiple findings to different reasons for visit. Mark a finding for follow-up and create a to-do task for the finding. Annotate an Image

Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Select a patient. Select an existing encounter from the Encounter History or create an encounter. Open the template that contains the Graphical Exam Tool (GET) component. The GET component window opens. The findings and exam tools are displayed for the selected location and provider in GET component. Note: The GET template can be opened in NextGen® Enterprise EHR without selecting the Reason for Visit. From the REASON FOR VISIT pane, select the reason for visit that you want to attach the finding. To change profile settings, select Settings from the Options and Settings Popup Menu . The Graphical Exam Tool - Settings window opens. Note: To edit profile settings, you must have the Operations Right for Administration > Edit EHR Component Profiles enabled in the System Administrator. Select the tab that contains the image you want to annotate first. The tab for the first image appears by default. Adjust the view or manipulate the image using the image toolbar
