Review Narratives on SOAP

With the support of NextGen® Ambient Assist, the ambient-generated narrative text appears automatically in the Narrative Notes panel on the SOAP template. The narrative fields contain information documented through applications, such as NextGen® Mobile and NextGen® Ambient Assist. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the SOAP template. In the Narrative Notes panel, review and update the ambient-generated narrative text as required. Note: You can document your narratives using My Phrases. To copy mobile dictations from the previous encounters, select Copy Dictation and use the former mobile dictations from the Mobile Dictation Copyforward template. Generate Note Associated with the Encounter

Open the SOAP template. Click the icon. Note: If few panels are expanded, you may have to go down to view the Generate Note icon. Select the required note from the resulting list. Click OK. Parent topic: SOAP Link Icons

Generate a Consent Note

You can generate a consent note. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the SOAP template. In the Assessment / Plan panel, select Consent.The Consent - Procedures template opens. Enter values in the fields such as Provider name, Consent by, Type of procedure, and Procedure date. Enter comments as required in the Comments field. To generate the consent note with the details documented in the Consent - Procedures template, select the Consent button in the Assessment / Plan panel. Generate Intake Note

You can generate the intake note for a patient using Generate Intake Note on the Intake template. Before you begin You must complete all the intake activities before generating the intake note. You can generate the intake note as a written summary of the encounter from the intake staff or medical assistant. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Intake template. Select Generate Intake Note.The system generates the intake note. Copy Forward SOAP Note Data from Previous Encounters

You can copy previous Subjective, Objective, Assessment, and Plan (SOAP) notes, and then send the notes to NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open NextGen® Mobile. Open the Patient Chart view. Select Today's Visit. Note: You must add or select an unlocked encounter. Select Dictate.The SOAP Note view opens. Select a SOAP section to enter clinical documentation. Select Copy Forward.The previously entered data for that SOAP section appears with the encounter dates. Recorded soap notes of previous encounters To copy a note to the today's visit SOAP note text box, select the note. Note: You can copy notes from multiple encounters. Current encounter soap note text box Optional: Edit the copied notes in the SOAP note text box using the mobile keyboard, and then select Done on the keyboard.
