Edit and Use Preconfigured Procedure Orders

In the Procedure Orders section, from the Procedure list, select the procedure for which you want to place the order.The list includes all the procedures entered in the Procedure section of the ASC - Intake template. Select the type and category of the procedure order.All the preconfigured procedure orders matching the selected type and category appear in a grid. Procedure Orders From the grid, select the preconfigured procedure order that you want to edit and use.To verify the procedure orders automatically on moving to the Today's Procedure grid, select the Verify Procedure Orders when added to Today's Orders checkbox. Note: When you select medication procedure orders, the drug interaction window containing all the interactions for the selected medication opens. You must acknowledge the interactions to proceed with the order. The details of the selected procedure order appear in the relevant fields. Make the desired changes in the fields. Select Add.The updated procedure order appear

Medication Fields to Configure a Medication

This table describes how to use the medication fields that appear to configure medication procedure orders. Field Description Medication Select a medication from the list. The associated National Drug Code (NDC) ID appears in the NDC ID field. If available, the medication dosage appears in the Sig, Dose, and Units fields. Sig Enter the Sig values. Note: : If you enter values in the Sig field, any pre-existing values in the Dose, Units, Route, and Site fields clear. The document Sig value clears from the Sig field, if you attempt to enter values in the Dose, Units, Route, and Site fields. Dose If Sig is not documented, enter the number of dosage. The values entered in the Dose field appear in the Sig field. Units If Sig is not documented, select the unit of dosage. The values entered in the Units field concatenate in the Sig field. Add Medication in the Medication Module

Select Prescribe New option in the Medication module. In the Medication Search window, search a medication and click Select. Medication Search window Click the Sig link in the Medication module and enter the Sig information. Figure 1. . Medication Module Click Done. Enter the Quantity, Refills, Start date information. Update Today's Procedure Orders

Expand the Procedure Orders section. From the Today's Procedure Orders grid, select the procedure order that you want to update.Based on the type of the selected procedure order, General procedure order or Medication procedure order is selected and the relevant data appears in the fields. Make the desired changes in the fields. Note: When you update medication procedure orders, the drug interaction window containing all the interactions opens on selecting the new medication.
