Add a Procedure Order

The created procedure orders appear in the Today's Procedure Orders grid. In the Procedure Orders section, from the Procedure list, select the procedure for which you want to place the order.The list includes all the procedures entered in the Procedure section of the ASC - Intake template. Select the type and category of the procedure order.All the preconfigured procedure orders matching the selected type and category appear in the grid. Procedure Orders To add a preconfigured procedure order, select it from the grid.To verify the procedure orders automatically on moving to the Today's Procedure grid, select the Verify Procedure Orders when added to Today's Orders checkbox. Note: When you select medication procedure orders, the drug interaction window containing all the interactions for the selected medication opens. Verify/Sign Off on Procedure Orders

After placing the required procedure orders in the Today's Procedure Orders grid, you need to verify the procedure orders. To sign off on an individual procedure order, Select the Not verified option above the Today's Procedure Orders grid.All the procedure orders that are not verified appear in the Today's Procedure Orders grid. Select a row in the Today's Procedure Orders grid. In the Co-Sign/Sign Off Procedure Order section, Select the Individual order option (to sign off on an individual procedure order) or select the All orders option (to sign off on all procedure orders) .The Verified by, Date, and Time fields appears with the current user, date and system time respectively. If applicable, enter the Reason/Explanation/Comment on the procedure orders. Select Sign/Update.The current user name appears in the Verified By column of the Today's Procedure Orders grid. You can verify and move procedure orders to the Today's Procedure Orders grid one at a time, or verify and move all the procedures simultaneously. Procedure Orders Panel on the ASC - Pre admission Template

The Procedure Orders panel on the ASC - Pre admission template allows the nurse to document the procedure orders. The procedure orders are pre-configured on the Procedure Orders and Discharge Instructions practice template. Procedure Orders If the current encounter includes only one procedure, the system displays the procedure in the Procedure field. If the current encounter includes more than one procedure, the system displays the first documented procedure in the Procedure field. If the case ID of the encounters is the same, then the procedure orders documented in the panel carry forward to the Procedure Orders panel on the other Ambulatory Surgery framework templates in the next encounters with the same case ID. Update Today's Procedure Orders

Expand the Procedure Orders section. From the Today's Procedure Orders grid, select the procedure order that you want to update.Based on the type of the selected procedure order, General procedure order or Medication procedure order is selected and the relevant data appears in the fields. Make the desired changes in the fields. Note: When you update medication procedure orders, the drug interaction window containing all the interactions opens on selecting the new medication.
