Providers can record call information, communication history, medication, allergy details, and more in the Communication panel of the Telephone Call template.
 
  - Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR.
 
  - On the Telephone Call template, expand the Communication panel.
 
  - Select a communication category link to open the corresponding template.
 
  - Enter the call information, communication history, medication, and allergy details.
   
    - In Tasking, select a task priority, and then select Send & Close.
     
      The Select Task Recipient window opens.
     
 
    - Select a recipient, select Add, and then select OK. 
 
    - Select Save & Close.
 
   
 
  - Select Display, and select a communication category.
 
  - To send a letter to the patient when the patient cannot be contacted, select the Send letter to patient due to inability to contact checkbox.
   
    A letter indicating the inability to contact the patient by telephone is generated and sent to the patient. 
    
Note: If your document to be generated is in queue, theDocument Generation - Queue Status window opens.
    
 
    
  - To view updated information in the Communication grid, select Refresh.
