Document Information with Template Screening Tools

You can document information in the screening tools that open as templates using the Screening Tools template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Select a patient encounter, and open a template. For example, Intake. Select Navigation, and then select Screening Tools. The Screening Tools template opens. To view the screening tools, do one of the following: To view the screening tools configured for the selected specialty, select Current Specialty. To view all the screening tools, select All. Note: When you do not select a specialty for an encounter, the All option is selected by default and all the screening tools appear on the Screening Tools template. In the Screening Tools Available panel, select a screening tool with the T indicator. The associated screening tool template opens. Document details provided by the patient. You can document information in the screening tools that open as websites using the Screening Tools template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Select a patient encounter, and open a template. For example, Intake. Select Navigation, and then select Screening Tools. The Screening Tools template opens. To view the screening tools, do one of the following: To view the screening tools configured for the selected specialty, select Current Specialty. To view all the screening tools, select All. Note: When you do not select a specialty for an encounter, the All option is selected by default and all the screening tools appear on the Screening Tools template. In the Screening Tools Available panel, select a screening tool with the W indicator. The associated screening tool website opens. Document details provided by the patient. The selected tool appears in the Screening instrument field. Enter the screening score manually. Select Add. The documented details appear in the Screening Tools Performed

You can document information using other screening tools that are not configured to open as websites or templates using the Screening Tools template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Select a patient encounter, and open a template. For example, Intake. Select Navigation, and then select Screening Tools. The Screening Tools template opens. To view the screening tools, do one of the following: To view the screening tools configured for the selected specialty, select Current Specialty. To view all the screening tools, select All. Note: When you do not select a specialty for an encounter, the All option is selected by default, and all the screening tools appear on theScreening Tools template. Select a screening tool that is not configured to open as a website or template. Enter the following information: Score Severity or interpretation Comments Major depressive disorder pre-treatment classification Select Add. Manage Screening Tool Records

You can update or remove an existing screening tools record on the Screening Tools template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. In the navigation bar, select Screening Tools. The Screening Tools template opens. In the Screening Tools Performed grid, select a screening tool record. To update a screening tool record, do the following: Edit the necessary details of the screening tool record. Note: For records that are configured to open as templates, you must open their associated template to update scores. Select Update. To remove a screening tool record, select Remove. Note: You must be in the same encounter to delete the existing record. For records that are configured to open as templates, you must open their associated template to delete the record. Screening Tools Template Details

You can use the fields, checkboxes, and grids on the Screening Tools template to manage the screening tools. Fields, Checkboxes, and Links Description Screening Tools Available List of screening tools supported by NextGen Healthcare and configured by the practice in alphabetical order. Current Specialty Displays screening tools configured for the selected specialty. When you select a specialty for an encounter, the Current Specialty option is selected by default and the screening tools configured for the selected specialty appears on the Screening Tools template. All Displays all screening tools. When you do not select a specialty for an encounter, the All option is selected by default and all the screening tools appear on the Screening Tool template. Document Responses for the Disability Screening Questionnaire

You can record a patient's responses to the American Community Survey (ACS) Disability Questionnaire in the Screening Tools template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Select a patient encounter, and open a template. In the navigation bar, select Screening Tools.The Screening Tools template opens. Select ACS Disability Questionnaire from the grid.The ACS Disability Questionnaire window opens. Select the options for disability questions. Select Save & Close.The Screening Tools Performed grid displays the ACS Disability Questionnaire. Optional: To modify a record, select it from the Screening Tools Performed grid, select Edit, modify the details, and then select Save & Close.
