Document the LEEP Procedure Details

You can document additional details of the Loop Electrosurgical Excision Procedure (LEEP) procedures in the LEEP panel on the Colposcopy - Procedure template.

1. Open the Colposcopy – Procedure template.
   

2. In the LEEP panel, do the following to document the procedure details.
   1. Select a diagnosis in Indication for procedure.
   2. Select a diagnosis status in Status.
   3. Optional: Select the No evidence of acute cervicitis checkbox.
   4. Select the applicable checkbox for Cervix prepped with.
      You can also enter another method in Other.
   5. Select the anesthetic agent and its dosage details.
   6. To indicate the method of anesthesia, select Intracervical or Paracervical.
   7. Optional: Select The Grounding pad was placed checkbox.
   8. Select the electrocautery settings in Cutting, Coag, and Blend.
   9. Select the loop width and depth for Loop #1 and Loop # 2.
   10. Enter the number of passes to complete the procedure.
   11. Enter the margin extension on the exocervix.
   12. Optional: Select the Periphery of LEEP treated with ball electrode checkbox.
   13. In Hemostasis obtained with, select the applicable methods.
       You can also enter another method in Other.
   14. Enter the estimated blood loss.
   15. Select the Specimen sent to pathology or Unable to obtain sufficient sample option.
   16. Optional: Select the Patient tolerated procedure well checkbox.
   17. Enter your comments.
