Review and Document Responses to Screening Questions

You can review and document responses to patient condition using Screening Questions panel. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Select the Care Guidelines link on any of the main template.The Care Guidelines Paged View template opens. In the Care Guidelines panel, select the Grid View link.The Care Guidelines grid view template opens. Select a disease or condition guideline listed in Outstanding Guidelines. If screening questions are configured for the guideline, they appear on the Screening Questions panel when you select the guideline. Note: Not all guidelines have screening questions associated with them. Care Guidelines For each question you choose, document the patient response. Select the appropriate No or Yes checbox corresponding to the question. To enter a very brief comment, select the Comments field corresponding to the question and enter text. Select Save. Display Questions on the Screening Questions Panel

You can view and select the Screening Questions to document the additional information. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Select the Care Guidelines link on any of the main template. The Care Guidelines Paged View template opens. In the Care Guidelines panel, select the Grid View link. The Care Guidelines grid view template opens. Select a condition listed in the left side pane of the Care Guidelines grid view template. Screening questions corresponding to the selected condition appear on the panel. Document with Customized Screening Tools

You can document customized screening tools created using Custom Screening Tool Builder from the Screening Tools template. Before you begin Create a customized screening tool. For more information, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download the latest Customized Screening Tool Configuration Guide for NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. In the navigation bar, select Screening Tools.The Screening Tools template opens. In the Screening Tools Available section, select the custom screening tool.The Custom Screenings window opens displaying the tool name in the Screening/Questionnaire field. Custom Screenings Select the questions and enter the answers that the patient provides.The documented questions and answers appear in the This Visit Screening/Questionnaire grid. Document Practice Defined Pre-Screening Questions

You can document pre-screening questions configured for your practice in the Practice Defined Pre-Screening Questions panel on the SBIRT Screening template. Before you begin You can enable the Practice Defined Pre-Screening Questions panel in the SBIRT section of the Practice Configuration template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. In the navigation bar, select Screening Tools. The Screening Tools template opens. In the Screening Tools Available section, select Screening, Brief Intervention, and Referral to Treatment (SBIRT). Document Information with Other Screening Tools

You can document information using other screening tools that are not configured to open as websites or templates using the Screening Tools template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Select a patient encounter, and open a template. For example, Intake. Select Navigation, and then select Screening Tools. The Screening Tools template opens. To view the screening tools, do one of the following: To view the screening tools configured for the selected specialty, select Current Specialty. To view all the screening tools, select All. Note: When you do not select a specialty for an encounter, the All option is selected by default, and all the screening tools appear on theScreening Tools template. Select a screening tool that is not configured to open as a website or template. Enter the following information: Score Severity or interpretation Comments Major depressive disorder pre-treatment classification Select Add. Screening Questions

You can document the additional details using the Screening Questions. Screening questions are groupings of questions for a particular condition. Screening questions are intended to be used for chronic conditions to allow the documentation of additional information for a condition. The Screening Questions panel is available on the Care Guidelines grid view template. The Screening Questions panel is blank until you select a condition. Note: Screening Questions are also available on the Chronic Conditions HPI and the Chronic Conditions templates. The grid view Care Guidelines panel is also available on the Chronic Conditions template. You can configured screening questions on the Custom Dbpicklists practice template. Screening questions come shipped with the application and can be edited or added.
