Review and Document Responses to Screening Questions

You can review and document responses to patient condition using Screening Questions panel. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Select the Care Guidelines link on any of the main template.The Care Guidelines Paged View template opens. In the Care Guidelines panel, select the Grid View link.The Care Guidelines grid view template opens. Select a disease or condition guideline listed in Outstanding Guidelines. If screening questions are configured for the guideline, they appear on the Screening Questions panel when you select the guideline. Note: Not all guidelines have screening questions associated with them. Care Guidelines For each question you choose, document the patient response. Select the appropriate No or Yes checbox corresponding to the question. To enter a very brief comment, select the Comments field corresponding to the question and enter text. Select Save. Screening Questions

You can use the Screening Questions panel to view and document patient condition. The Screening Questions panel enables you to view and document patient responses to screening questions associated with a specific condition or disease. When you first open the Care Guidelines grid view template and expand the Screening Questions panel, it appears blank. Questions do not appear until you select a guideline listed in Outstanding Guidelines. Note: A guideline must have screening questions configured in order to have screening questions display. Not all guidelines have screening questions configured, for example, health maintenance. Figure 1. . Open the Care Guidelines Template

You can open the Care Guidelines template using the Care Guidelines link. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Select any Specialty and Visit Type. Select the Care Guidelines link on any of the main template. The Care Guidelines template opens. Home Page Parent topic: Care Guidelines Introduction

Display Specific Active Guideline Item for a Patient

You can filter display items for a specific guideline that is active for a patient. You can filter what appears in the Care Guidelines panel to display only those items that are part of a specific guideline which is active for the patient. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Select the Care Guidelines link on any of the main template.The Care Guidelines Paged View template opens. Expand the Care Guidelines panel. To display only those item that is part of a specific guideline which is active for the patient, do one of the following: Select the link for guideline of interest in the left pane. Select the Show All link to display all guideline items active for the patient. The Care Guidelines panel refreshes to display only those items that are part of the selected guideline. Find Information for Issues in the FAQs Grid

You can view information for a specific topic listed in the FAQs grid. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. From File, select System \ Practice Template. The Select Template window opens. On the Practice tab, select the All option. Select Care Guideline Setup, and then select OK. The Care Guideline Setup practice template opens. Expand the FAQs panel. Select the issue in the grid.The corresponding answer appears in Possible causes/things to check section. FAQs Optional: To filter the information in the grid, select the Orderables, Recommended Care, Reminders, and CG-DSI checkboxes.When you open the Care Guidelines Setup template for the first time, all three checkboxes on the FAQs panel are selected by default. Use a Screening Tool

Before you begin Ensure that you have selected the Specialty as Care Management and Visit Type as Case & Consent. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. On the Tools template, expand the Screening panel. Screening Select the required Screening Tool from the left navigation panel.The corresponding questionnaire appears.
