Update the Equipment Details

Select the row to be edited from the grid in the Equipment Log panel. Select Edit.The ASC Equipment template opens. The selections display in the left panes and right grid of the template. Select the applicable value for additional details on the equipment. If you want to clear a selected value, re-select that value. Select Save & Close.The modifications update in the grid. To remove an entry from the Equipment panel, highlight a row in the grid and select Remove. The Refresh button is used to refresh the grid to display the equipment details entered from a different workstation. If you want to save the documented values as the default set for the future in the template, select the Quick Save button and enter a default set name for the template. The default name appears in the list from the Quick Load button. Equipment Panel on the ASC - Intraprocedure Template

The Equipment panel allows you to document the equipment used during a procedure. The equipment type and the equipment details can be pre-configured on the Equipment Log practice template. For more information on configuration of equipment details, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download the Equipment Log Practice Template for NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine. Equipment The Quick load procedure field in the Equipment panel is used to quick load the equipment detail documented for a procedure in the previous encounters. The field displays the first procedure documented in the current encounter. You can select the field to open a list of procedures documented in the Procedure panel on the ASC - Intake template. The Quick load procedure field includes the left and the right arrows. Initiate Documentation

The Initiate Documentation button on the Procedure Orders panel adds the documented procedure details to the Documentation Log panel on the ASC - Preprocedure and ASC - Intraprocedure templates of the Procedure visit type, if the case of the encounters is identical. Note: You must map the procedure orders to the entry type, category, and description in the Procedure Orders and Discharge Instructions practice template. Document an ASC Procedure

In the Documentation panel, select Add.The ASC Procedure Documentation template opens. ASC Procedure The Procedure field displays the procedure entered in the Procedure panel. If more than one procedure is entered in the Procedure panel, then the Procedure field displays the first procedure documented in the current encounter. The Procedure field includes left and right arrows. The left blue arrow is used to go to the previous procedure and the right blue arrow is used to go to the next procedure. If the current encounter includes only one procedure, then the arrows are not available. By default, the system selects the Procedure documentation option and displays the associated sections in the left pane. Select a section in the left pane.The corresponding list of values appears in the grid, and the navigational tab appears above the left pane. On the Equipment Log practice template, expand the Categories panel. Click Equipment type to open a list of the pre-configured equipment types available in the grid and select an equipment type from the list. Double-click the top blank row in the list and enter a new equipment type in the Equipment type field, if the options in the list are not relevant. The Equipment type short description field auto-populates with the same value selected/entered in the Equipment type field. Click Category to open a list of categories pre-configured for the selected equipment type and select a category from the list. Document Information on the Individuals Participating in Administering the Procedure

Select Add to open the ASC Additional Personnel template. ASC Additional Personnel Select Position and select the appropriate role of the person from the list.If the options in the list are not appropriate for selection, select the top-blank line in the list and enter the appropriate value in the Position field. Select Name and select the name of the individual in the position from the list.You can select the top-blank row in the list to enter the appropriate name in the Name field. Select Stage and select the procedure stage the selected individual will be involved in.The left and the right arrows at the bottom of the ASC Additional Personnel template are used to go to the previous and the next available entries respectively. You can select the label Entry and select the required entry from the list. To add a new entry, select the Add New button. The existing data clears from the fields for a new entry.
