The
Cosign/Review Orders
template is used by supervising providers to review and co-sign/sign-off orders.
Open
NextGen® Enterprise EHR
.
Select the option to cosign
Individual order
in the
Cosign/sign-off
orders section at the bottom left of the template.
Highlight a row in the
Orders
grid.
The fields below the grid display details for the selected order.
Click the
Clinical information/comments
field below the grid to enter additional information.
Click the
Reason/explanation/comment
field and type a brief reason or comment.
Click the
Sign/Update
button.
The
Order
grid displays the updated sign-off information for the selected order.
To task someone, click the
Task
button to launch
Tasking
.
Click
Save & Close
when you have finished signing off orders.

Place a Follow-up or Disposition Order
Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Do one of the following: In the Assessment Plan panel, click the A/P Details link in the left pane. On the My Plan (PT) template, click the A/P Details tab. The Assessment Plan Details template opens. Click Follow Up.The Follow-up/Disposition template opens. Follow-up/Disposition template To add or update the working assessment, select the diagnosis in the grid. Select the follow up checkbox. Enter the details and time for the follow-up visit. In the Disposition field, select an option from the list. If the applicable option is not available in the list, click the top blank row and then type a value in the Disposition field. If the patient refused the selected disposition, select the Refused checkbox. In the Reason field, select an option from the list. In the Timeframe field, select an option from the list. Click Place Order.The fields clear so that another follow-up appointment can be entered. The follow-up appointments appear in the Assessment/Plan grid

Sign-Off the Orders as a Provider
You can submit and review the plan of care based on your role in the Provider Sign Off panel. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. On the SOAP tab, expand the Assessment/Plan panel. To open the Cosign/Review Orders template, do one of the following: Select the Review/Cosign Orders link. Select Add/Update and then select the Cosign Orders tab on the Add or Update Assessment template. Cosign Orders Note: In the Orders panel, you can view all the orders and expected immunization orders placed in the current encounter. In the Immunizations Today panel, only the immunization orders placed in the current encounter appear. In the Orders panel, to sign off on an order, do the following: Select an order from the grid in the Orders panel. The selected order details appear in the Details of individual order section under the Immunizations Today panel. If necessary, add comments in the Clinical information/comments field. Sign-Off the Orders as a Provider
You can review and sign-off an order on the Cosign/Review Orders template. Open the ASC - Physician Procedure template. In the Assessment / Plan panel, select the Review/Cosign Orders link.The Cosign/Review Orders template opens. Cosign/Review Orders In the Orders panel, all the orders and expected immunization orders placed in the current encounter appear. In the Immunizations Today panel, only the immunization orders placed in the current encounter appear. In the Orders panel, to sign off on an order: Select an order from the grid in the Orders panel. The selected order details appear in the Details of individual order section at the bottom of the template. If necessary, add comments in the Clinical information/comments field. In the Cosign/sign off orders section, the Individual order option is selected by default. Review Procedure Orders
You can review procedure orders in the Cardiac orders panel. The Nurse link opens the Nurse template and allows the nurse to view and accept all tasks that were performed by the Coordinator and Dr Team. All tasks must be completed and only the nurse or technician can accept the completed tasks. The provider can sign the order by clicking the Provider Sign checkbox where the yellow exclamation point turns into a green check mark. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Intake - Cardiology template. Select the Cardiac Orders panel. Select Procedures. Select the Nurse link.The Nurse template opens. Nurse Template Review all the tasks performed by the coordinator and the doctor team and ensure they are complete. Select Accept.Once all fields (Doctor, Dr Team, Coordinator and, Nurse) have been successfully satisfied, they each display a green check mark. Parent topic: Order Procedures

Edit Orders
You can view, verify, and process orders that have been placed for a patient. The order types include labs, diagnostics, referrals, office services, surgical procedures, follow-ups, medications, patient education, patient instruction, physical therapy, and immunizations. Note: The numbers beside each order type in the left pane indicate the number of orders in the queue. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Checkout template. Click the Today's Orders panel. From the left pane, select an order type. Today's Orders In the grid, select a row. To view more details about the selected order or to edit the order, click Edit. Note: Based on the order type you select on the left pane, the application displays the corresponding additional options. Enter, Review, and Update Guideline Status
You can document the details for the patient on the Care Guidelines grid view template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Select the Care Guidelines link on any of the main template. The Care Guidelines Paged View template opens. In the Care Guidelines panel, select the Grid View link. The Care Guidelines grid view template opens. Select a guideline item from the grid. Details for the care guideline fill in the fields. To edit the changes for information appeared for the guideline, do the following: In the Goal field, enter a goal for the patient or select from the list. Select the Status from the list. Select the Action from the list. Note: For guideline items that are ordered, fills in automatically. The Status and Action fields are read-only. Care Guidelines Select Update. The grid displays the updated Status. Note: To see the goal, select the item in the grid to display details in the fields.
