Update the Status or Compliance for a Recommended Care Guideline Item

You can update the status or compliance for a recommended care guideline item for a patient. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Select the Care Guidelines link on any of the main template. The Care Guidelines Paged View template opens. Expand the Care Guidelines panel. Select the Status from the list. Care Guidelines The selected status appears in the Status field. The Compliance list opens automatically. Carecompliance Select compliance reported by the patient from the list. The selected compliance appears below the Status field. Edit the Care Guidelines History

You can review or update the care guidelines history using the Care Guidelines History template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. From the Care Guidelines template or the Activate Care Guidelines template, select the Care Guidelines History link. The Care Guidelines History template opens. To filter tests and exams listed in the grid by status, select Filter by status and select a status from the list. To edit a guideline item, select a row item and select Edit to open the Care Guideline Update template. If you have selected a status or date by mistake, you can clear the values for Last completed date. The guideline item reverts to being due, the Last addressed is cleared, and the Next Due date recalculates. Update the required field and select Save & Close. Note: If the selected guideline record does not belong to the latest encounter, the Edit and Save & Close buttons are read-only. Place Orders for Guideline Items

You can process the order placed for the care guidelines of the patient. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Select the Care Guidelines link on any of the main template. The Care Guidelines Paged View template opens. In the Care Guidelines panel, select the Grid View link. The Care Guidelines grid view template opens. Select a guideline item in the grid. Details for the guideline appears in the fields. You can order items with status due, such as labs and diagnostic studies. Select Order. The item's Status displays ordered. For records that previously display the status due, such as labs and diagnostics, the Action field displays the date ordered. Manually Complete Care Guidelines

Open NextGen Enterprise EHR. Open an encounter for a patient record. Select the Care Guidelines link. The Care Guidelines Paged View window opens. Select the checkbox and fill in any required fields. In the Status field, select a status from the list. Note: Based on the care guideline, some additional information may be required. In the Last Completed field, enter the end date. Activate the Care Guideline You Want to Follow for the Patient

You can add care guideline details for a patient record using the Care Guidelines panel. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Care Guidelines template. In the Care Guidelines panel, select Add/Update.The Activate Care Guidelines template opens. In the Active Guidelines panel, select the Condition field.A list of all pre-configured Care Guidelines appears. Select the pre-configured condition in the list and select OK. If applicable, select the Diagnosis field to select a diagnosis in the diagnosis search window.The Diagnosis field is used to associate a diagnosis with an ICD code (used for billing) to the guideline. The selected diagnosis appears in the Diagnosis field and the associated code appears in the Code field. Select Add.The guideline activates, and items that are associated with it appear in the grid on the Active Guidelines panel. Care Guidelines System

The Care Guidelines system helps the provider and patients to take care of their health maintenance and chronic diseases. You can open the Care Guidelines template using the Care Guidelines link on the template header. It provides both a schedule of typically followed items such as immunizations, diagnostic studies, labs, and so on. The care guidelines system tracks recommendations about medications and goals that might be applicable for the patient's chronic conditions. The care guidelines system is highly configurable. The Care Guidelines system helps to carry out the functions of Health Maintenance and Disease Management testing and Health Monitor. Using Care Guidelines: Some guideline items are automatically added to each patient’s chart based on the patient’s chronic conditions, while others are added manually by the clinicians; these are added as a group related to a chronic condition, long-term medication use, for health maintenance or any other special circumstance requiring cl
